This talk explores the hidden costs of running cloud-based platforms at scale, based on ractical experience from Azure-based implementations. It focuses on the challenges that are easy to underestimate during design: networking cost and complexity, connectivity disruptions, telemetry volume, observability gaps, and the operational pressure of reacting to issues quickly.
