Hacktober Hack

Bengaluru, India, Bengaluru, India
In person

A hackathon on building quality agents, co-hosted by Failproof AI and Quad AI. We hand every team the same AI agent. It works... sometimes. You have under two hours to make it one you would ship. Same agent, same model, same tools for everyone. Change anything around the model: prompts, tool definitions, validation, retries, guardrails and policies. Then we run a hidden eval suite against every submission, three times per task. A task only counts if it passes all three. How the evening runs 4:30 pm: doors open, form teams 4:45 pm: kickoff. Meet the agent, the public eval suite and the baseline score 5:00 pm: build 6:50 pm: code freeze. The hidden suite runs while teams demo 7:30 pm: results and wrap Judging Reliability (80 points): the share of hidden tasks your agent passes on all three runs, inside the call, time and token limits Your evals (20 points): up to ten eval cases you add, each counted when the baseline fails it and your agent passes it every time Ties go to the lower cost per task Bring your laptop, your charger and a GitHub account. Come solo or as a team of up to three. We provide the agent, a model key for your team and the public eval suite. It's Hacktoberfest, so the agent is open source. After the event, open your fix as a pull request. The best fixes and evals get merged. Free. Registration is subject to host approval. The exact address in HSR Layout is shared once you're in. Also listed on MLH: https://events.mlh.com/events/14866-hacktoberfest-meetup-bengaluru-x-failproofai Venue: Quad AI HSR Campus, 27th Main Rd, beside RBIH, 1st Sector, HSR Layout, Bengaluru 560102. Code Meets Animation - Bangalore

Zepto HQ Bangalore, Bengaluru, India
In person

When Code Meets Animation AI can now turn a single sentence into a production-ready animation. That part is getting easy. The hard part is everything that comes after: keeping motion consistent across a product, turning it into a system with tokens and rules, making sure it performs on every device, and actually shipping it. That gap is what Code Meets Animation is about, and it's what we're digging into for an evening in Bangalore. LottieFiles is teaming up with Zepto and Friends of Figma Bangalore for a night of talks, a hands-on live challenge, and plenty of time to meet people building with motion in real products. Who this is for If you're curious about AI and vector motion, you belong here. Especially: Product and frontend engineers (web, React Native, Flutter) Product designers without a motion background Design systems and interaction designers PMs, eng leads and founders Agency and freelance builders What's happening Pre-Event Networking (30 min): Grab a slice and meet the room Welcome to Code Meets Animation - Bangalore edition by Yaamin M - Sr Partnerships Manager at LottieFiles (5 min) Talk from Zepto (30 min) Why We Killed the Live Map by Jayant Mandan - Sr UX Motion Designer at Gojek (30 min) A first look at LottieFiles' new AI tools for motion by Mau Ali - Lottie Studio Lead at LottieFiles (10 min) Live Challenge (30 min): Build a UI animation using nothing but prompts in a new tool we are introducing. CyberSwaraj: Digital Privacy for Beginners

Bengaluru, India, Bengaluru, India
In person

Forty years later, the feeling he was describing is just daily life. Your phone knows where you slept last night. Your browser knows what you almost bought and changed your mind about. Your keyboard knows what you typed and then deleted. None of this is a secret anymore, it's just something most of us have stopped noticing. If you've ever had a faint sense that something about the internet doesn't feel right anymore, this session is for you. Privacy is not about hiding. Most conversations about privacy start by making you feel paranoid. This one won't. Privacy is something ordinary and human. It's the ability to decide what parts of your life get shared, when they get shared, and with whom. In the physical world this feels obvious. You close the door when you change clothes. You lower your voice in a crowded room. You don't hand your diary to a stranger. Online, we've slowly given up all of that, usually without realising we were giving anything up. Each app asks for a small permission. Each service collects a small piece of information. Individually, none of it feels like much. Put together, it forms a surprisingly complete picture of how you live, think, move, and talk to people you love. This session is a starting point for anyone who has never thought seriously about this before. No cybersecurity jargon. No lectures. Just a clear walkthrough of what's happening, why it matters, and what you can do about it this afternoon. What we'll cover Part 1: Where privacy actually leaks Why "I have nothing to hide" misses the point The difference between privacy, secrecy, and safety How ordinary apps and devices observe and track far more than you think What changes, slowly and invisibly, when people lose their private space Part 2: What you can actually do about it One of our speakers runs an almost entirely open-source setup on his phone. No Google Play Store, no surveillance-heavy apps, just tools built by people who believe your data belongs to you. He'll walk you throu

AI Tools that Earn: a hackathon by Apify

Zostel Plus Bangalore (Whitefield), Bengaluru, India
In person

About this hackathon 💡 Most hackathon projects die on Sunday night. This one is designed so yours doesn't. The AI Tools that Earn Hackathon is a one-day event hosted by Apify at a Zostel Plus hacker house in Whitefield, Bangalore. The challenge: build solutions someone would pay for, not just a demo. Extract data, combine tools, draw conclusions, trigger actions. Raw data is worthless until it becomes a conclusion someone acts on: a report that writes itself, a score instead of a haystack, a paragraph that replaces an hour of reading. If you can name who'd pay for it, you're on theme. Need inspiration? A sales team doesn't want 10,000 company names; they want the 40 that raised funding this month, with contacts attached. A lender doesn't want three days of manual checks; they want one due diligence brief. These are examples to get you thinking, not themes: build whatever you want, for whichever buyer you know best. You'll build on the Apify platform and ship your project as an Actor to Apify Store, where 10k+ developers already publish and earn, and every Actor works with AI agents out of the box via MCP and agent plugins. Thirteen of the top creators from India and Nepal will be in the room all day as your mentors and judges. Several of them make a living from projects that started exactly like yours. How judging works ⚖️ Every project is judged against one question: would someone actually pay for this? Picture a real person who needs the output of your Actor. Your demo should name that person, show what they get, and run live. The judges earn from their own Actors, so they'll know a real answer when they hear one. Your mentors and judges 🧑‍🏫 These creators build and earn on Apify Store, and they'll be with you all day: Harsh Maur, Pratik Dani, Shanskar Bansal, Dhrumil Bhankhar, Anas Nadeem, Jay Kumar Yadav, Sachin Kumar Yadav, Govind Sehrawat, scrapeverse, Sourabh Kumar, Manoj Karki, Surendra Tamang, and Tara Prasad Gurung. The Apify team on the ground 🟠 Saurav Ja
