3 platform requirements for agentic engineering

Online, India · Platform Engineers Bangalore
runs 4–5 November 2026
Online

Agentic engineering only works if the platform underneath it can support autonomous action safely. Justin Billig and Dan Rye, co-founders of Tensure, break down the three platform capabilities engineering organizations need to move agents out of experimentation and into production: a controlled action layer, identity and guardrails, and a feedback loop. You'll come away knowing: 1. How to build a controlled action layer that exposes approved capabilities to agents through APIs, Infrastructure as Code, and GitOps rather than direct infrastructure access. 2. How to give each agent an identity, scoped permissions, and explicit boundaries so autonomy stays bounded and humans approve what matters. 3. How to close the feedback loop with observability, testing, policy checks, SLOs, and audit data so agents know whether an action worked and can respond when it didn't.

Near-zero time to resolution: Agentic workflows for failed and drifted IaC

Online, India · Platform Engineers Bangalore
runs 12–13 November 2026
Online

When infrastructure fails or drifts, resolution still looks like it did a decade ago: a human reads logs, pieces together what changed and hand-writes a fix. Artem Artyunov of env zero demos a different path: an AI coding assistant and a custom skill from Git, asking a live IaC platform which environments failed, what drifted and what the safe fix is. We'll cover: 1\. Asking plain-language questions of a live infrastructure-as-code platform through its CLI, using an AI coding assistant and a custom skill loaded from Git. 2\. See how the skill is built, and how authentication and guardrails keep the agent from doing anything you didn't approve. 3\. A working pattern you can adapt to your own IaC tooling, and a realistic view of what agentic remediation can and can't do today, including where human review still belongs.

Watch AI Fix a Real Bug

Online, India · CoderRange - AI , Big data , Data Science !.
Online

AI can write code in seconds. But can it fix a REAL bug in a REAL banking system, correctly? Let's find out. Live. 🏦 THE CODEBASE: APACHE FINERACT Not a to-do app. Not a toy demo. Apache Fineract is an open-source core banking platform used by financial institutions around the world to manage loans, savings, accounts and accounting. → Large, multi-module Java & Spring Boot codebase → Real banking logic: loans, repayments, interest, accounting → The kind of complex, legacy-scale system you work on every day If AI can work here, it can work on your project. 🐞 THE BUG A customer makes a loan repayment. The network is slow, the request is retried, and the repayment is posted TWICE. Wrong balance. Broken accounting. An angry customer. And no obvious error in the logs. In banking, a bug like this costs real money and real trust. It's exactly the kind of bug AI often gets confidently wrong. ⚔️ THE SHOWDOWN Claude and Codex get the same bug on the same Fineract codebase. We'll fix it step by step, the way production banking teams work: 1️⃣ Understand the system: AI maps a huge, unfamiliar codebase in minutes 2️⃣ Reproduce the bug: prove the double posting before touching any code 3️⃣ Find the root cause: trace the repayment flow with evidence, not guesses 4️⃣ Write a failing test: lock the bug down so it can never return 5️⃣ Apply the smallest safe fix: no risky rewrites in financial code 6️⃣ Verify everything: run the tests and confirm balances and accounting are correct 7️⃣ AI code review: a second AI reviews the fix like a senior banking engineer You'll also see where AI gets it WRONG on a complex codebase, and how a skilled engineer catches it before it reaches production. 💡 WHY THIS MATTERS FOR YOU → Freshers: see how real enterprise code is debugged, the skill interviews test → Developers: fix bugs in large codebases faster, without shipping AI mistakes → Senior devs & leads: make AI follow standards on complex, high-risk systems → Architects & managers: see what AI c

CyberSwaraj: Digital Privacy for Beginners

Bengaluru, India, Bengaluru, India
In person

Forty years later, the feeling he was describing is just daily life. Your phone knows where you slept last night. Your browser knows what you almost bought and changed your mind about. Your keyboard knows what you typed and then deleted. None of this is a secret anymore, it's just something most of us have stopped noticing. If you've ever had a faint sense that something about the internet doesn't feel right anymore, this session is for you. Privacy is not about hiding. Most conversations about privacy start by making you feel paranoid. This one won't. Privacy is something ordinary and human. It's the ability to decide what parts of your life get shared, when they get shared, and with whom. In the physical world this feels obvious. You close the door when you change clothes. You lower your voice in a crowded room. You don't hand your diary to a stranger. Online, we've slowly given up all of that, usually without realising we were giving anything up. Each app asks for a small permission. Each service collects a small piece of information. Individually, none of it feels like much. Put together, it forms a surprisingly complete picture of how you live, think, move, and talk to people you love. This session is a starting point for anyone who has never thought seriously about this before. No cybersecurity jargon. No lectures. Just a clear walkthrough of what's happening, why it matters, and what you can do about it this afternoon. What we'll cover Part 1: Where privacy actually leaks Why "I have nothing to hide" misses the point The difference between privacy, secrecy, and safety How ordinary apps and devices observe and track far more than you think What changes, slowly and invisibly, when people lose their private space Part 2: What you can actually do about it One of our speakers runs an almost entirely open-source setup on his phone. No Google Play Store, no surveillance-heavy apps, just tools built by people who believe your data belongs to you. He'll walk you throu

Tame PyTorch Recompiles & Unlock Jev GPU Throughput with Zymtrace

Online, India · AI Performance Engineering Meetup (Bangalore)
Online

Monday, November 16, 2026 · 9:00–10:00 AM PST · Online Zoom link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82308186562 Join us for two deep dives into hidden AI performance costs: surprise PyTorch recompilations during inference and compute, memory, and communication bottlenecks in Jev training. Talk #0: Introductions and Meetup Updates by Chris Fregly and Antje Barth Talk #1: Overcoming the PyTorch Recompilation Dilemma in Real-Time Inference Workloads by Chaim Rand `torch.compile` can accelerate steady-state inference, yet a guard failure on a new input shape or layout can trigger an expensive recompilation in the request path. Drawing on his latest post, Chaim will compare six approaches using a dynamic graph-neural-network example: cache preloading, bounded recompilation with eager fallback, Dynamo and input-layout tuning, warmup seeding, background compilation, and ahead-of-time compilation with `torch.export` and AOTInductor. He’ll explain their tradeoffs and how the right choice depends on the model, input distribution, runtime environment, and latency requirements. Bio: Chaim Rand is a machine-learning algorithm developer who writes about PyTorch and practical AI/ML performance optimization. He’ll discuss how continuous CPU/GPU profiling and MCP-accessible profile data supported an iterative optimization loop across compute, memory, communication, and inference synchronization. The published case study reports approximately 46% higher training throughput on the same hardware after three successive changes, plus approximately 10% better inference performance after removing a hidden device-to-host synchronization. Talk #0: Introductions and Meetup Updates by Chris Fregly and Antje Barth Talk #1: The Recompile Ambush: Taming PyTorch Inference Spikes by Chaim Rand `torch.compile` can accelerate steady-state inference, yet a guard failure on a new input shape or layout can trigger an expensive recompilation in the request path. [Pre-DevFest] The "Touch Grass" Buildathon

Mumbai, India, Mumbai, India
In person

We always joke about developers needing to go outside and touch grass. Well, we're finally making it mandatory. Join us for a 2 hour sprint to build and ship an MVP - happening entirely outdoors in a park. We are stripping away the ergonomic office chairs, the perfect dual-monitor setups, and the air conditioning. It’s just you, your laptop battery, and whatever you can manage to build before brunch. What to Expect Nature, unfiltered: We are literally building in a park. You will need a fully charged laptop, a mobile hotspot, and probably some sunscreen. Trees do not have power outlets, and if your laptop is one of those that dies in exactly 8 minutes, create a remote coding setup at your house before you come. Actually Shipping: No three-month roadmaps or feature creep allowed. You have a exactly 2 hours to build a working prototype and demo it to the group. Zero Corporate Pressure: There are no enterprise sponsors breathing down your neck forcing you to use their specific cloud credits. Build what you want, however you want. Bugs (both kinds): You'll be debugging your architecture while dealing with actual outdoor elements. It’s the ultimate test of developer focus. Food afterwards is on us, but please carry water bottles, energy drinks, soft drinks / anything else you might need.

AI Tools that Earn: a hackathon by Apify

Zostel Plus Bangalore (Whitefield), Bengaluru, India
In person

About this hackathon 💡 Most hackathon projects die on Sunday night. This one is designed so yours doesn't. The AI Tools that Earn Hackathon is a one-day event hosted by Apify at a Zostel Plus hacker house in Whitefield, Bangalore. The challenge: build solutions someone would pay for, not just a demo. Extract data, combine tools, draw conclusions, trigger actions. Raw data is worthless until it becomes a conclusion someone acts on: a report that writes itself, a score instead of a haystack, a paragraph that replaces an hour of reading. If you can name who'd pay for it, you're on theme. Need inspiration? A sales team doesn't want 10,000 company names; they want the 40 that raised funding this month, with contacts attached. A lender doesn't want three days of manual checks; they want one due diligence brief. These are examples to get you thinking, not themes: build whatever you want, for whichever buyer you know best. You'll build on the Apify platform and ship your project as an Actor to Apify Store, where 10k+ developers already publish and earn, and every Actor works with AI agents out of the box via MCP and agent plugins. Thirteen of the top creators from India and Nepal will be in the room all day as your mentors and judges. Several of them make a living from projects that started exactly like yours. How judging works ⚖️ Every project is judged against one question: would someone actually pay for this? Picture a real person who needs the output of your Actor. Your demo should name that person, show what they get, and run live. The judges earn from their own Actors, so they'll know a real answer when they hear one. Your mentors and judges 🧑‍🏫 These creators build and earn on Apify Store, and they'll be with you all day: Harsh Maur, Pratik Dani, Shanskar Bansal, Dhrumil Bhankhar, Anas Nadeem, Jay Kumar Yadav, Sachin Kumar Yadav, Govind Sehrawat, scrapeverse, Sourabh Kumar, Manoj Karki, Surendra Tamang, and Tara Prasad Gurung. [Pre-DevFest] Startup Founders' Mixer

Dextrus - BKC Crescenzo, Mumbai, India
In person

Pitching a grand vision is the easy part. Turning that vision into a functioning, scalable business? That's where the real work begins. Ahead of DevFest Mumbai, we’re skipping the usual startup theater for a candid, no bs huddle with founders and builders. No buzzwords, just genuine conversations about what it actually takes to grow a company from day zero. What to Expect Zero Slide Decks: We're banning 40-minute monologues about "synergy" and "disruption". Expect open, candid roundtable discussions. Meaningful Connections: Leave the aggressive elevator pitch at home. This is about meeting peers who are dealing with the exact same growth bottlenecks as you, not just collecting business cards to spam later. Actionable Advice: Less theory, more execution. We're focusing heavily on the "how" - how to structure your early team, how to validate a pivot, and how to build something people actually care about. A Safe Space for Real Talk: No investors to impress, no need to pretend everything is going perfectly. Just builders helping builders figure out the messy middle of running a startup.
