About this event

Okta Developer Connect Bengaluru 2026
Identity as the Control Plane for AI Agents

Okta Developer Connect Bengaluru is back, bringing together developers, platform and security engineers, architects, engineering leaders, and builders to explore what it takes to securely bring AI agents into the enterprise.
AI agents are beginning to work across applications, APIs, data, and enterprise workflows, retrieving information, taking actions, and increasingly operating on behalf of users. As these systems become more capable, identity becomes the control plane for determining who or what can access which resources, what actions they can perform, and under what conditions.
At Okta Developer Connect Bengaluru, we’ll explore how identity, authorization, and governance come together to secure AI agents in production.
Through technical sessions, demos, discussions, and real-world examples, we’ll dive into topics including Agent SSO, Cross App Access (XAA), MCP, OAuth, least-privilege authorization, agent governance, secure integrations, and building identity into agentic enterprise workflows.
What to Expect
⚡ Technical sessions focused on identity and authorization for AI agents
⚡ Agent SSO, Cross App Access (XAA), MCP, OAuth, and secure agent access
⚡ Real-world examples of how AI and identity are being applied across enterprise workflows
⚡ Insights into building and integrating securely with the Okta ecosystem
⚡ Interactive activities, quiz, raffle, and community programs
⚡ Lunch, snacks, and networking with developers, product teams, and the Okta community
Whether you’re already building AI-powered applications or exploring how agents will operate securely across enterprise systems, join us to learn, connect, and see how identity is evolving for the agentic era.

Reimagining education in the age of AI with Dr. Prathosh A.P. (IISc)

Bengaluru, India, Bengaluru, India
In person

As AI starts to explain almost anything, what is a classroom actually for? AI is changing how we learn, teach and assess. Personalised tutors, instant feedback and generative tools can widen access to quality education, but they also raise hard questions about original thinking, equity and the role of the teacher. The goal of this talk is to create an environment of dialogue and ideas in the room. About Speaker: Dr. Prathosh A. P. is an Assistant Professor in the ECE department at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru and co-founder of Latentforce, AI infra for coding agents. His research focuses on deep learning, representation learning, and data-efficient machine learning, with applications in digital healthcare. He earned his Ph.D. from IISc in 2015 and previously taught at IIT Delhi and worked in research roles at Xerox and Philips. He also co-founded Cogniable, a startup developing AI tools for behavioural healthcare. Join online: meet.google.com/dqi-cwwr-jiw Looking forward to seeing you!

It's Still Not Safe Speaker: Sandip Pani (Snowflake) Abstract: Agent evals measure whether your AI gets the right answer, not what happens when it's attacked. As agents gain tool access and data permissions, prompt injection and jailbreak attempts become a real production risk. This talk breaks down the emerging attack surface of AI agents and how Snowflake is building security into the data and control plane itself. We'll cover Cortex AI Guardrails for real-time prompt injection and jailbreak defense, data-layer protection via RBAC and Row Access Policies, account-level guardrail configuration for "define once, enforce everywhere" governance, and the newly announced Cortex AI Gateway and Agent Identity, Which govern what agents can actually do, and who's accountable when something goes wrong. Speakers/Topics: Stay tuned as we are updating speakers and schedules. If you have a keen interest in speaking to our community, we invite you to submit topics for consideration: Submit Topics Sponsors: We are actively seeking sponsors to support AI developers community.
