Ai & Restaurants

The LINE DC, Washington, United States
In person

Generative Series: AI, Art & Culture returns to the LINE Hotel DC for AI & Restaurants, a live conversation-and-tasting event on Sunday, October 25th from 2-4pm. We're here to ask what happens when artificial intelligence meets the restaurant industry — from Michelin-level molecular gastronomy and AI-driven recipe creation to how fast-casual kitchens are cutting waste and cost. We're bringing together chefs, technologists, journalists and academics for a live conversation and tasting on how AI is reshaping food, from the kitchen to the table. This isn't just a conversation about operations. We're digging into what these shifts mean for the guest experience itself — how AI is changing the way people discover, order, and even taste food. On stage: Anna Spiegel, Axios D.C.'s food, lifestyle and city reporter and former Washingtonian food editor for a decade bringing her eye for the local restaurant and hospitality scene to the conversation Andy Brown, founder of Andy's Pizza, live-demoing a piece of kitchen hardware he invented himself — a vacuum-based dough-shaping mechanism he 3D-printed and then used generative AI to redesign, growing its working dimensions by 21%. He's bringing the actual hardware and AI software to walk the room through how it works. A food-tech platform voice and an academic/industry voice, rounding out a panel built to cover the technology, the industry, and the culture all at once Expect a curated, conversation-forward crowd, a working demo you won't see anywhere else in DC, and tastings that only come from mixing Michelin-trained chefs with machine learning. Space is limited — RSVP to save your seat.

Stripe x Vambe Session:"Agentic Commerce: Capturing a new powerful sales channel"

Barcelona 26, Mexico City, Mexico
In person

Build & Sip: Vibe Coding, Women, + Non-Binary Edition

Stone & Chalk Tech Central Sydney, Haymarket, Australia
In person

AKA Wine & Vibe Coding Build & Sip: Vibe Coding for Women + Non-Binary Builders Thursday 29 October | Stone & Chalk Sydney Every attendee gets a full month of Claude Max, Anthropic’s top tier plan, free for the day. It’s what you’ll build with for the three hours, and it’s yours to keep using once the event wraps. Three hours, real builders in the room, your rough idea turned into something that actually works by the end of it. This one’s for women and non-binary folks who’ve been meaning to get hands-on with AI but haven’t had the entry point, the time, or frankly, the wine. No tech background needed. Bring a laptop, an idea (rough is fine), and a willingness to build before you feel ready. Here’s how the three hours work. You’ll build with Claude Code, which is where the thinking happens: shaping the rough idea into something real, writing the copy, generating the thing itself. Then you’ll use OhhWells to get it live and looking like yours rather than like every other AI build. Most people can get a site up now. Getting one that doesn’t look generic is the part nobody teaches you. Your build could be a landing page. A waitlist page. A simple internal tool. A booking form. A quiz that routes people to the right offer. An MVP for the app idea you’ve been sitting on. The site for the thing you’ve been explaining to people verbally for six months. Something the dev team would put in a backlog until 2029. What you’ll need A laptop An idea, rough is fine You’ll walk out with A working prototype, built by you Prompts and vibe-coding resources you can use again tomorrow A free month of Claude Max to keep building after the event Free OhhWells credits and their prompt playbook to keep building afterwards Help planning, prompting, testing, and refining A chance to demo what you built Wine, because courage What you’ll need A laptop An idea, rough is fine Come with an idea. We’ll help you plan it, build it, and demo it. Staying for the evening? We’re running a second event in

The New Standard: a talk with Raycast, Linear, and Mistral

Galerie Au Roi, Paris, France
In person

2026 was the year everything shifted. But a year of rapid change also brings hard questions. How do we architect systems that leverage AI without becoming dependent on it? What did we learn about testing, reliability, and maintainability when iteration cycles compress? How do we hire and structure engineering teams when the nature of the work itself is changing? At Raycast, Linear, and Mistral, we’ve been shipping products that would have been impossible a year ago. We’ve rethought our infrastructure. We’ve experimented with new workflows. We’ve hit unexpected walls and learned from them. And we’re still learning. It’s a conversation between engineers about what we’ve actually discovered: the architectural decisions that worked, the ones that didn’t, and the gaps we’re still trying to fill. More importantly, it’s about what we’re building toward in 2027. We’re still figuring it out. And we want to figure it out together. Speakers Thomas Paul Mann, CEO and Co-founder @ Raycast Tuomas Artman, CTO and Co-founder @ Linear Théo Carrive, VP Engineering @ Mistral Moderated by Tanguy Le Stradic, CPO @ Evy Agenda Doors open at 6pm Conversation starts promptly at 6:30pm

Dublin | Claude Code Impact Lab

Dublin, Ireland, Dublin, Ireland
In person

Join a Claude Community Event, organized by local enthusiasts for everyone who loves building with Claude! Talk first, build next Claude Conversations runs as a pair of events. The talk was on Thursday 17 September, when people who use Claude all day sat beside people who are mainly just uneasy about it and worked through three questions: what does AI mean for my job, what is AI doing to me, my kids and my community, and who decides the rules. This is the build. We're going back through everything that came up and pulling out the problems people actually named, the ones concrete enough to build against. Those become the briefs, and they'll be posted on this page ahead of the day. Each team picks one and spends the evening building something with Claude Code that takes a real swing at it. How the evening runs Doors open at 17:00. Come with a team of up to five, or come on your own and we'll put you with people when you arrive. Teams pick a brief and build until demos start at around 20:00, with pizza in the middle so nobody has to down tools for long. Every team then gets a few minutes to show what it built, running live, and the winners are announced before we finish at 21:00. Credits, prizes and judging Every participant gets $100 in Claude API credits, and the winning team takes the prizes, including a month of Claude Max 20x for each member. Builds are judged on how directly they take on the problem they picked, whether they actually work when shown live, and whether someone could realistically pick them up and use them after the night. Who it is for People who already code with Claude Code. Four hours goes quickly and there's no time to learn the tool on the night, so you should be comfortable building and shipping with it before you arrive. If you're new to Claude Code, this isn't the one to start with. Before you come Bring a laptop with Claude Code installed and working, and your charger. The API credits attach to an organisation in the Claude Console (consol

Tech Talk: Why a Dev Blog Is Your Career’s Secret Weapon with Rachel Kaufman

Online, United States · The Tech Academy
Online

What can writing about your development work do for your tech career? Most developers do not think of themselves as writers, but writing can be a powerful way to strengthen your skills and grow professionally. A dev blog is not about becoming an internet-famous thought leader. Writing helps you think through problems, remember what you have learned, and become better at your work. Our guest speaker, Rachel Kaufman, is a full-stack software engineer in the martech space. She will share why writing and learning in public can be valuable for developers at any stage of their careers. She is also a lead organizer with Women and Gender eXpansive Coders DC, where she helps create technical workshops and networking opportunities for women and nonbinary people in tech. In this live session, Rachel will break down the practical benefits of keeping a dev blog and walk through different ways to get started. She will cover the logistics of writing and publishing, along with how documenting your work can help you think more clearly, retain what you learn, and strengthen your development skills. You will leave with a better understanding of how writing can support your growth as a developer and practical ideas for starting a dev blog of your own. Most importantly, you will see how writing can be useful for learning and improving your work, not simply building an online presence. Bring your questions and your ideas! Follow along with Rachel as she shares practical ways to start writing and learning in public, and think about what you could document from your own development journey. Join us on Friday\, October 30 at 1 PM PT \| 3 PM CT \| 4 PM ET and save your spot now to discover how a dev blog can become a valuable part of your career.
