AI Healthcare Hackathon with Anima x OpenAI

London, United Kingdom, London, United Kingdom
In person

[This event is now FULL - you can still submit an application to be added to future AI and healthcare events by Anima] Healthcare’s hardest problems are often not caused by missing science. The people, information and decisions are already there, but the systems around them are fragmented, manual or too slow. On Saturday 12 September, Anima and OpenAI are bringing a selected group of exceptional builders to OpenAI’s London HQ for one intense day of building to solve some of these challenges. You’ll work on a real clinical problem with direct access to a simulated healthcare system with synthetic longitudinal patient data, proprietary tooling to deploy agents into healthcare settings (currently used to serve >25% of the UK’s population), senior NHS stakeholders and clinicians, and Anima and OpenAI product and AI builders. Prizes Final prizes will be announced on the day. However, we'll have: Up to £15k in cash prizes ~£5k worth of gadgets up for grabs ~£5k of unique swag Who should apply This is an application-based event with limited places. Engineers, medics, product builders, researchers, and anyone with compelling evidence that they make ambitious things happen. Apply individually; we’ll share final team arrangements with successful applicants. Travel allowance This event is in person, in London. If you're selected, we'll cover up to £20 for travel from outside of London.

WORLDS | LONDON Hackathon

London, United Kingdom, London, United Kingdom
In person

World Models are about to change Games, Media, and Robotics, and most people still have not had a real chance to build with them. Worlds is a curated, one-day hackathon where London's best Engineers, Founders, and Artists come together to make working prototypes across five tracks; with the kind of energy that feels more like a launch party than a conference. Expect a room full of sharp people, ambitious ideas, and fast-moving builds in King's Cross. The judges are the people building these models, which makes this a rare chance to test ideas in front of the creators shaping the field. If you want to get your hands dirty, meet the people pushing world models forward, and leave having actually made something, this is the place to be. Partners List: REACTOR (reactor.inc) - The developer platform for World Models MULTIC (multic.com) - Multiplayer Interactive Stories by Multic VEED (veed.io) - Interactive Avatars. night office (nightoffice.co) - providing hackathon space. worlds.london

Build a Reasoning Model (From Scratch)

Online, United Kingdom · LLM Reading Club
Online

We are working through Build a Reasoning Model (From Scratch) by Sebastian Raschka. During each meetup, we will discuss the key concepts from the chapter or pages under review. In this session we'll discuss the Chapter 3. Evaluating Reasoning Models. Raschka provides a hands-on guide to understanding and building modern reasoning models. Starting with a conventional pretrained LLM, the book explores evaluation, inference-time reasoning techniques, reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards, and knowledge distillation. Please note that the session is not recorded, and participants are responsible for obtaining their own copy of the book. Buy the book (affiliate links): Amazon UK Amazon France Book overview: In Build a Reasoning Model (From Scratch), bestselling author Sebastian Raschka explains how modern reasoning-oriented language models work by implementing their core techniques step by step. You will begin with a conventional pretrained LLM and learn how to generate and evaluate its responses. You will then explore inference-time techniques such as chain-of-thought prompting, sampling, self-consistency, response scoring, Best-of-N, and self-refinement. Later chapters introduce training-based approaches, including reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards, GRPO, format rewards, and distillation from stronger reasoning models into smaller ones. Build a Reasoning Model (From Scratch) teaches you how to: Implement core LLM reasoning techniques from scratch Generate, score, and evaluate model responses Build verifier-based evaluation systems Improve reasoning using self-consistency, Best-of-N, and self-refinement Apply reinforcement learning with verifiable rewards Understand and implement GRPO-based training Distill the reasoning capabilities of stronger models into smaller ones Evaluate the accuracy, cost, and latency trade-offs of different reasoning techniques

10x Your Job Application with Claude + n8n + Apify - Resume Automation

Online, United Kingdom · Automate EVERYTHING - N8N + Claude Agents AI
Online

⚡ 10x Your Job Applications with AI Automation — n8n + Claude Code Most people are still sending CVs one by one, manually, for every single job. This is the session that changes that. We're dedicating this special meetup to one concrete use case: building a CV automation system that 10x your Job Applications, using the two most powerful tools in the space right now. We'll solve the same problem two different ways, so you can choose what fits you best. PART 1 — n8n: Automate Your Entire Application Pipeline No code. No engineering background. Just a workflow that runs by itself. We'll build live during the session a real automation that detects job offers, personalizes your CV, sends your application, logs everything to Google Sheets, and schedules follow-up emails — automatically. You'll also learn how to spot the automation opportunities hiding in your own job search workflow and connect it with Gmail, Notion, LinkedIn. PART 2 — Claude Code: AI That Tailors Your Application Most people use AI to fix a sentence. The people winning with AI are using it to run entire workflows. We'll show you how to use Claude Code as your personal career assistant: paste a job description and get a tailored CV and cover letter in seconds — one that sounds like you, not like a generic AI. No setup. No complicated flows. Just a tool that understands your profile and adapts your application to every role. We'll also cover Claude Agents with subagents working in parallel, so you can handle multiple applications at the same time without lifting a finger. Two tools. One problem. Real results. We're not connecting n8n and Claude Code in this session, we're showing you how each one solves the same challenge independently, so you walk away knowing which approach fits your workflow. Whether you're actively job hunting, helping others find work, or just tired of repetitive tasks eating your time — this session will change how you operate. No engineering background required.

GirlsWhoML & PhysicsX Hackathon

London, United Kingdom, London, United Kingdom
In person

If commercial space flights land on Mars tomorrow, what would you build to create the Martian city? [APPLICATIONS CLOSED] Join GirlsWhoML and PhysicsX for an evening hackathon in London to tackle the first human landing on Mars, supported by Cursor. You arrive on an empty, rust-red planet with no city, no roads, and no infrastructure. What do you build first? You’ll design and prototype one core system for the Martian city, across three tracks: Architecture, Vehicles, and Life Support. Every build should combine engineering, machine learning, or 3D modelling. The window is short, but that’s the point: see how far you can push what’s possible in a single evening. Mentors will be on the floor throughout, your work will be reviewed by a panel of industry judges, and every participant gets Cursor credits supported by Francisco Terpolilli, Cursor's EU Ambassador and Regional Leader. Bring a team of 2-3, or turn up solo and we’ll help you find a crew, at our team formation session. Women, non-binary, and allies are all welcome. Prizes provided by PhysicsX, including career coaching and mentorship opportunities, to be announced. Bring your curiosity, your laptop, and your ambition. The city starts with you. Schedule 🛸 5:30pm - launch pad 6:00pm - mission briefing 6:20pm - ignition 8:00pm - mid mission check 8:30pm - code freeze 8:38pm - demos 9:30pm - judging 9:45pm - close Thank you so much for the incredible response to this hackathon. We’ve been genuinely overwhelmed (in the best way!) by the interest, which far exceeds our venue’s capacity. Because space is limited, we’ve had to carefully curate a group that reflects our community and fits the hack’s brief. With so many strong applications, this was a difficult process. If you don’t receive a spot this time, please know it comes down to capacity and fit for this specific event not a judgment on your talent or potential. Thank you again for your enthusiasm and for taking the time to apply.

The AI Workforce Summit @ Google Where AI expands what people can do Artificial intelligence is changing how businesses operate. But the biggest shift isn't better software. It's the emergence of AI workers. On 16 September, founders, operators and technology leaders will come together at Google for the inaugural AI Workforce Summit - an evening exploring how businesses are beginning to redesign teams, workflows and growth around AI workers. You'll hear from the companies already leading this transition, meet the people shaping the category, and explore what happens when organisations stop asking "Which AI tool should we buy?" and start asking "Which AI workers should we hire?" If you're building the next generation of companies - or trying to understand how AI workers will reshape yours - you should be in the room. Who's in the room Growth-stage founders, builders and operators already running AI-first functions - or building them. Technology leaders looking to shape their AI strategy.
