Coffee Break: Microsoft BI/Data Platform. 15-minutes : online meeting

Online, Finland · Microsoft Data Platform User Group - Finland
Online

#MSBIFI Coffee Break on viikottainen Data Platform -tietoisku. 15 minuuttia, kahvihetken verran. Aihe tulee aina hieman yli viikko ennen tapahtumaan. Teams kutsu oheisen linkin takana (https://qum.io/khc) . Voit liittyä Teamsiin myös suoraan linkillä: https://qum.io/kh2021 Jos linkki antaa lyhyturlivirheen, on suora teams-linkki oikealla kunhan olet kirjautunut!

Prompt Workshop 5: Build Agents for Studies

Startup Sauna, Espoo, Finland · Aaltoes (Aalto Entrepreneurship Society)
In person

Prompt Workshop 5 — Build Agents for Studies Study season is back. Most people use AI to answer individual questions — one prompt, one response, done. A study agent does something different: it runs the whole workflow. Input a topic, research it, compress what matters, quiz you on it. No manual hand-off between steps. Agents can also act as personal assistants for you along your study journey, managing your calendar, following deadlines, helping you with communications and finding interesting events and opportunities. For this workshop, we're building one from scratch. By the end of the session, you'll have a working study agent. Join us for a hands-on workshop on: How study agents differ from a single AI prompt — and why the gap matters Building a multi-step agent loop Live build-along: everyone ships a working agent before we close Debugging and improving agent reliability Skill level: Intermediate — assumes you've used Claude or another AI tool before; we won't cover first principles 14 September — 18:00 Startup Sauna

Käytännön AI workshop teollisuudelle – liiketoiminnan uudistaminen tekoälyllä

Finland · Business Tampere

Builders' Breakfast with Sami Marttinen: Building Pre-AI vs. Building Now

Maria 01, Helsinki, Finland
In person

This Builders' Breakfast session is part of the Maria 01 NEXT Startup Festival. Explore the full 2-day program here. Sami Marttinen co-founded a company that most founders only talk about reaching: a centaur, meaning a private company generating over $100 million in annual revenue. Swappie crossed that threshold in 2023 and has held it since, closing 2025 with €234 million in revenue and, for the first time, a full year of EBITDA profitability. Getting there wasn't a straight line. Before Swappie, Sami and his co-founder ran through thirteen different business ideas under one company, pivoting quickly, taking no salary, and funding the process themselves through student loans and savings. The idea that eventually became Swappie came from a personal experience, being scammed while buying a used phone online, and a consumer survey the next day that suggested the market for used electronics could eventually rival the market for used cars. Sami is now building a new company, currently in stealth. This time, the environment is different. Swappie was built in a pre-AI era, with none of the tools founders now take for granted. His new venture is being built with AI shaping the process from the outset. At this Builders' Breakfast, Sami will share the story on what it took to grow Swappie into a centaur, and how building pre-AI compares to building now. If you find this session interesting, we invite you to explore the full Maria 01 NEXT Startup Festival Program.

AROC x Kiuas - Robotics Validation Workshop

Puumiehenkuja 5, Espoo, Finland
In person

"I have a hardware project, how do I know if there's a company in it?" That's the question this evening is built around. Rethink Robotics built genuinely good robots and shut down anyway. Building the thing is rarely what kills a hardware startup. Finding out whether anyone actually needs it, before you spend two years on it, is the hard part. Kiuas will be running this session. They're a non-profit Founder Collective in Otaniemi with ten years of knowledge watching startups fail and succeed. They'll take us through how to pressure-test an idea properly: who feels the pain, who actually pays to fix it, and what you can put in front of a real customer within a week. Hardware doesn't follow the software playbook. In robotics the person suffering from the problem almost never holds the budget, and there are usually five people who can say no before anyone gets to say yes. This makes validation all the more important. Bring your laptop, your own project, or pick an idea from a list we provide. This workshop is hands-on. You'll leave with a plan you could start executing the next morning. Open to everyone. No startup experience needed, and no robotics background either.
