n8n Meetup Munich

Pixida GmbH, Munich, Germany
In person

Enterprise-wide n8n success stories — this is your spot. If you're trying to scale n8n beyond a single team or a handful of workflows, this session is for you. We're bringing together two speakers who've spent real time solving that problem from different angles: rollout and governance on one side, and workflow intelligence on the other. Talk 1 — Enterprise-wide n8n success stories Andy Wolf will share how Sixt took n8n from proof of concept to a governed, company-wide platform, empowering employees across the business to build their own automations. Andy is Executive Director at Sixt, where he co-leads the Platform Division serving around 80 engineering teams, and technically leads the Share and Van & Truck divisions — putting him in the position of being one of his own platform's internal customers. He's currently driving Sixt's move toward AI-first engineering, and he's been in IT since 1995, long enough to know there's no such thing as a silver bullet. Talk 2 — Beyond 'If/Then': Adding a Touch of Sanity to n8n Max Zmek from Exxeta AG takes on the assumption that every edge case can be hardcoded in advance. His talk looks at where logic runs out and where a workflow needs to handle nuance instead of hitting a wall — an entertaining, practical look at the balance between structure and dynamic behavior. Max specializes in bringing real intelligence into complex enterprise workflows, with hands-on experience across email categorization, custom chatbots, small specialized models, external "brains," and disciplined prompt and context engineering. He works at the intersection of corporate-grade automation and private AI experimentation, building resilient, harness-tested systems. Speakers Andy Wolf — Executive Director at Sixt, co-leading the Platform Division (serving roughly 80 engineering teams). Took n8n from proof of concept to a governed, company-wide platform. In IT since 1995. Max Zmek — AI Engineer at Exxeta works on bringing practical AI into enterprise workf

The Trail is the Lab

München Hbf, Munich, Germany
In person

We want to invite you to a hike — but not a normal one. Most longevity content comes in a bottle, a wearable, or a protocol. This is a day where the only equipment is your own physiology, and the mountain runs the test. 📅 When: Sunday, September 20, 9:00 AM 📍 Meeting point: Hauptbahnhof, at the start of the platform of the train to Tegernsee 🚶 Plan: Tegernsee hike with mouth taping, breathwork and lunch (see route here: https://www.komoot.com/tour/42930539) 🎟️ Free, but limited spots only We'll hike up to Riederstein nose-only, mouths taped, which adds resistance, slows the breath down, and builds CO2 tolerance — and yes, makes the climb feel harder than expected. (Most people discover their aerobic base is thinner than they thought.) At the top, we'll pair the physical work with a breathwork exercise guided by Livian, our faciliator, to feel the shift from stressed to settled. There will also be prompts along the way, and a short exercise for the quiet-headed, tired-body window — often the best place for the psychological work to land. Schedule 9:00: Meet at Hauptbahnhof 9:29: Train to Tegernsee 10:39: Arrive in Tegernsee Intro to nose breathing with Livian Start the hike (Komoot route): mouths taped, nose only Breathwork exercise at the top Lunch Around 15:00: Hike concludes Around 16:00~17:00: Back in Munich What to bring Hiking shoes / layers appropriate for the trail A packed lunch Water Sunscreen 🎙️ Hosted by Livian Enachescu Facilitator integrating psychology, neuroscience, and breathwork — with experience supporting people in high-pressure environments ranging from extreme sports to business contexts. Connect with Livian here. Disclaimer About the host Longevity Munich is part of Longevity Cities, a global community making science-based longevity accessible, open, and human. From Munich and Berlin to London, Zürich, and beyond, we bring people together in cities around the world to learn, move, and live better — without the fear and without the extremes. Mo

Large Repo Maintenance and Migrations in the Era of AI Agents

München, Germany, Munich, Germany
In person

'Gradient Descending' is a series of roundtables on AI: curated deep dives with technical builders. Past roundtables discussions covered RL Environments, Evals, Fine-Tuning, Agent Frameworks, Open Source Models, and Knowledge Graphs with companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Cursor, Scale AI and many more. For our next session, we’re joined by Stoyan Nikolov (Principal Software Engineer - Developer AI at Google) for a discussion on Large Repo Maintenance and Migrations in the Era of AI Agents. As AI coding assistants become part of everyday software development, engineering teams are beginning to rethink how large codebases are maintained and evolved. We’ll explore how AI agents are changing repository-scale development, what it takes to execute large migrations safely, where current approaches break down, and the emerging patterns for managing complex engineering systems at scale. Drawing on recent research and practical experience, Stoyan will share insights into repository-scale reasoning, AI-assisted code transformations, evaluation, and the challenges of moving from promising demos to production-ready developer workflows. Agenda: Arrivals: 09:00–09:30 Roundtable discussion: 09:30–10:30 See past roundtables here: https://www.akashbajwa.co/t/ai-roundtables I agree that photographs and/or video may be taken during the event and used by the hosts on social media and in future promotional materials.

Sept 23 - Munich Physical AI Workshop and Meetup

Impact Hub Munich GmbH, Munich, Germany · München AI, Machine Learning and Computer Vision Meetup
In person

Join us at Impact Hub Munich on September 23rd for the Munich Physical AI Workshop and Meetup, co-presented by Nebius and Voxel51. Seats are limited, Pre-registration is mandatory. Date, Time and Location Sep 23, 2026 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM CEST Impact Hub Munich, Gotzinger Str. 8, 81371 München, Germany Meetup Speakers Online Monitoring of Mechanical Loads Vehicle components are constantly affected by forces caused by acceleration, braking, road conditions, and driving behavior. These forces create material stresses, and repeated stress over time leads to fatigue—one of the main causes of component failure. Understanding how loads translate into stress and ultimately into damage is therefore essential. In this talk, we present how a machine learning model can estimate mechanical loads even in vehicles without dedicated sensors for this purpose. By reconstructing hidden stresses from available vehicle data, the solution enables real-time fatigue assessment, improves component durability predictions, and supports safer, more reliable vehicle designs—without requiring additional hardware. Speaker: Alexander Nenninger at NTT DATA Physical Intelligence: Building the Next Gen of Robotics Explore how physical AI is transforming robots to perceive, reason, learn, and act in the real world. September Edition:

AWS, Munich, Germany · Munich Database Meetup
In person

We're excited to be back with another evening of Database Internals! This time, we'll look at what happens when open table formats meet native engines. Apache Iceberg V3 and Apache Parquet now carry geospatial types directly in table schemas and metadata, and ClickHouse is learning to keep its MergeTree ingestion speed while continuously landing the same data in Iceberg and Delta. With talks from Snowflake and ClickHouse, the evening will get into the spec-level and engine-level mechanics that let one dataset serve many engines. As always, there will be plenty of time for networking, discussion, and snacks 🍕. Event Details: 📍 Venue: AWS, Oskar-von-Miller-Ring 20, 80333 📅 Date & Time: Wednesday, September 24 2026, doors open at 18:30 Powering Spatial Analytics: Native Geospatial Types in Apache Iceberg Abstract: Querying spatial data at scale in data lakes has historically relied on a mix of different storage formats, hindering interoperability and effective cross-engine metadata use. The introduction of native geospatial types to Apache Iceberg V3 and Apache Parquet elevated spatial concepts directly into table schemas and metadata. In this talk, Philipp Fischbeck, Software Engineer at Snowflake, walks through the architectural journey of native geospatial types in Iceberg. We will trace how historical spatial representations evolved into native specification standards, break down the mechanics of planar Geometry versus spherical Geography coordinate systems, and demonstrate how query engines like Snowflake can perform spatial file pruning. Finally, we'll look behind the scenes at the open-source community effort across Apache Parquet and Iceberg that made standardized spatial lakehouse data possible. Speaker Bio: Philipp Fischbeck is a Software Engineer on the SQL Data Types team at Snowflake, where he works on making complex data shapes, especially geospatial types, convenient and efficient to store and query. His work focuses on Snowflake's core SQL engine

Bits and Pretzels - The Pretzel Run: Easy 5K along the Isar

Isarpark, Munich, Germany
In person

📅 Sunday, 27 September 2026 🕕 18:00, done around 19:30, open end 📍 Isarpark, Wittelsbacherstraße 2b, 80469 Munich (map) 🎟️ Free entry The Pretzel Run is back for a second edition: an easy 5K along the Isar with Longevity Munich, during the run & followed by pretzels in the park. Yes, you can run with your pretzel if you want! 😄 What is this about? Most people run their easy runs too hard. This one stays deliberately easy at around 6:30 per kilometre, slow enough to hold a conversation the whole way, which is exactly the pace where your aerobic base actually gets built. The pretzel afterwards matters as much as the running does. What to expect A flat 5K along the Isar in Munich, starting and finishing at Isarpark. We send you off in batches of ten, so you are never out there on your own. Run your own pace or stick with a group that matches it. No clock, no results list. Pretzels and a hang out in the park once everyone is back. Schedule 18:00 Arrive and warm up together Then the 5K, in batches of ten From around 19:30 open end, stay as long as you like Who is it for? Anyone who can cover five kilometres at a talking pace, whether you run three times a week or are easing back in after a long break. You do not need to be fast and you do not need to bring anyone. Plenty of people show up alone and leave with company. Good to know Free to join, no ticket needed. Please be there at 18:00. The warm up starts on time and the first batch leaves right after. No bag drop, so bring only what you can carry while running. Look for the Longevity Cities T-shirts at Isarpark, that is us. Bring your own pretzel if you can, the bigger the funnier. We bring a stash as well, so nobody stands there empty-handed. We take photos for our channels. No professional photographer, just us. Say the word to anyone from the team if you would rather stay out of them. Free to join. RSVP so we know how many of you to expect. Experience the world's famous Oktoberfest with a fresh perspective! We are not avoiding fun, we want to amplify it. The goal is to connect, celebrate, and showcase that the best part of the Wiesn is not the consumption, but the connections you make. 📅 Date: 3.10.2026 🕙 Time: 10:30 AM 📍 Meeting Point: Bavaria Statue, Theresienhöhe 16, Munich (Exact Spot: https://share.google/UhwYsr7tbGG6PGFqF) 🎟️ Entry: Free to meet up. Our Plan: The goal is to head to the Oide Wiesn (Old Oktoberfest), a charming, more traditional section of the festival with a relaxed atmosphere. The entry fee is typically €4 and is well worth it for the more manageable crowds. Flexibility is Key: If we spot a great, large-enough space in an outdoor beer garden on our way, we’ll take it! Our priority is finding a place to sit together, talk, and enjoy the morning. The Vibe: Expect relaxed networking, great conversations, and a supportive atmosphere where enjoying an alcohol-free beer is completely normal. 📝 Important Details Finding Us: We will meet directly at the linked spot at the base of the statue.
