About this event

We're bringing together Wilbe, ARIA, and Renaissance Philanthropy for an evening exploring what it takes for science's most ambitious ideas to survive contact with the real world.
Three organisations, three different paths, and one shared conviction: that the boldest scientific ideas deserve a real shot at impacting the world.
Join us for a panel discussion followed by pitches from the floor, with live feedback from our panellists.

About the hosts
Wilbe is the first full-stack venture firm, with a platform and venture fund for scientists and engineers building generational companies from day 0. To date, Wilbe has trained more than 1,700 scientists from institutions including MIT, Oxford, Cambridge, and Max Planck, and backed 25 companies with a combined valuation of over $3.25 billion.
ARIA is the UK's high-risk, high-reward R&D funding agency, created to unlock scientific and technological breakthroughs by supporting research that is too ambitious, speculative, or interdisciplinary to pursue elsewhere.
Renaissance Philanthropy is a nonprofit dedicated to sparking a 21st-century renaissance by elevating the ambitions of philanthropists, scientists, and innovators. In partnership with ARIA, they are working to supercharge the UK's R&D ecosystem and empower exceptional individuals to translate their research into impact.

This event falls on Yom Kippur. If you're observing and unable to attend, ARIA is also hosting Funding at the Frontier: Become an ARIA Programme Director on September 10th.
