Innovation at CSM: Beyond the Scroll

OCT22
17:30 · Europe / London

About this event

Central Saint Martins invites you to its upcoming Innovation at CSM industry event, exploring the evolving role of physical experience in an increasingly digital world.
Beyond the Scroll: How creativity and physical experience can earn attention and create lasting impact will bring together leading creative and industry voices to explore how physical showcases, exhibitions and experiences are evolving alongside new technologies – and the distinctive opportunities they create for discovery, participation, connection and collective experience.
Hosted within Process, a new CSM exhibition exploring how ideas develop across 6 distinct themes: Discovery, Detour, Community, Connection, and Transformation, the evening will combine a live panel conversation with an opportunity to encounter work by recent graduates and connect with fellow guests from CSM's community and wider industry network.
Central Saint Martins has long been a place where new forms of creative practice are tested, challenged and brought to life. Our community do not simply adapt to changing technologies and behaviours – they explore how these shifts can create new ways for people to encounter ideas, participate and connect. For businesses, this offers a valuable perspective on how creativity can cut through an increasingly crowded landscape and create experiences that people choose to engage with, remember and share.

The VAST Builders Challenge is a three-city technical event series bringing together founders and engineers across New York, London, and San Francisco to build production-ready AI systems. Spend the day building agents to unlock the value of video. Because video is hard to search and analyze, most of it stays in storage, unwatched and underused. Hosted with VAST Data in collaboration with NVIDIA, SpaceXAI, CoreWeave and Weights & Biases. Note: Registration closes on 15th October. Prizes 1st place: NVIDIA DGX Spark™ HuggingFace Microduck Cursor Credits Cash Gift Cards The Builders Stack Here's what you get out of the box, a lightning-quick setup: Video understanding: reason over a video clip with NVIDIA Cosmos. Semantic search: find moments across hours of footage using natural language. Object detection: real-time detection and tracking across frames with YOLO. London AI Meetup x Lovable: What Is Possible Now

London, United Kingdom, London, United Kingdom
In person

Join us for a conversation about what is actually possible now with AI, and where the next opportunities are. This is the London AI Meetup: an informal gathering of top professionals, founders, researchers, engineers, and AI enthusiasts who come together quarterly to swap notes on what is working, what is not, and what we are each figuring out along the way. No talks, no panels, no slides, just good conversations with people who care about AI. This edition is hosted in partnership with Lovable, the platform turning ideas into working software through a conversation. Our community has grown to 1,000+ members, with alumni from leading AI labs and tech companies. Bring your questions, your perspective, and a willingness to share what you have learned. Good company awaits. Looking forward to seeing you there! ---- Lovable London. Lovable makes it possible to turn ideas into working software by describing what you want to build.
