Who Should Attend: This course is designed for those who have been appointed as fire warden/ fire marshal in their workplace.
Course Duration: 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM
Course Content:
Fire safety legislation (Overview)
Understanding the physics and chemistry of fire
Development and spread of fire
Action in the event of a fire
Means of raising alarm
Means of summoning the fire brigade
Action on hearing the fire alarm
Evacuation procedures
Fire warden duties: Conducting an evacuation & Understanding emergency plans/procedures
Please Note: If you are attending the course via Zoom there will be no practical element to the course (as in you will not discharge a fire extinguisher) The instructor will demonstrate the correct use of discharging/using. This may shorten the course by 30 minutes to an hour.
Certification: A Guardian Safety Fire Warden Training Certificate (3-year certificate) is awarded to participants once they have successfully completed the course.
Participants can select their preferred attendance method, either participating online through Zoom or attending in person.

Pre-requisites to attend the course:
All participants must be fluent in English.
If you have opted to attend online via Zoom you will need a PC, Laptop, Smartphone, etc. with audio/video & Internet. Ensure a browser is running correctly (Google Chrome, firefox, etc) or the Zoom Application is installed.
If you have opted to attend in person, registration will begin 15 minutes prior to the start time of the course.

Benefits of this training:
Participants will have the opportunity to practice with the fire extinguisher until they are comfortable with its usage.
There is no restriction on the number of fire extinguishers available for training, and we will continue until the learner feels confident, prioritizing their comfort over a set limit.
