Occupational Health and Safety Training Course (Safety Officer): 2 Day course on the 14th & 18th of September Who Should Attend: The Safety Officer Training (Occupational Health and Safety Training Course) is specifically designated for safety representatives, business owners, managers, supervisors, and those responsible for implementing and managing an H&S system. Course Duration: The course runs for 2 days from 9.30 AM - 5.00 PM each day. Course Overview: The main objective is to equip the learner with the knowledge, skill, and competence to carry out risk assessments and implement risk control measures in an office or service environment while under the general direction of a safety specialist. All employers are legally required to identify workplace hazards and assess and control associated risks to workers and others in the workplace. Main topics focus: Health and Safety Legislation. The Acts and Regulations The Health and Safety Authority Workplace Safety Environmental Impact Safety Monitoring Risk Assessment Occupational Health Accident Investigation Additional topics covered: Overview of why we want staff trained in Occupational Health and Safety Management and the topics that will be covered Penalties Manual Handling First Aid Electricity Night Work Working at Heights Personal Protection Equipment Pregnancy in the Workplace Safety Signs Display Screen Assessment Certification: A Safety Officer Training (Occupational Health and Safety Training Course) Certificate (4 year) is awarded to participants once they have successfully completed the course. Delivery Method Participants can select their preferred attendance method, either participating online through Zoom or attending in person. Pre-requisites to attend the course: All participants must be fluent in English. If you have opted to attend online via Zoom you will need a PC, Laptop, Smartphone, etc. with audio/video & Internet. Fire Warden Instructor Training - 2 days duration. Course Duration: 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM each day 16th & 17th of September Who Should Attend: Those who want to deliver Fire Safety and/or Fire Warden to employees, customers, and management. Those who wish to meet their legal responsibilities for training under Health and Safety legislation and industry-specific codes of practice. The course is specially designed for those who wish to become Fire Warden Instructors and/or for the person in charge. Course Duration: The course runs for 2 days from 9.30 AM - 5.00 PM each day. Course Overview: Day One – Fire Safety/Science Legislation Statistics Fire Science, Development the fire, smoke, and small travel Fire prevention Classes of fire The selection and use of fire extinguishers Participants will then be trained in the use of extinguishers Day Two – Fire Warden & Fire Manager Pre–fire/fire/post-fire duties of the Fire Warden Understanding people’s behavior in relation to fire Emergency plans and evacuation procedures Emergency drills Emergency lights (overview of general maintenance requirements) Fire extinguishers (overview of general maintenance requirements & the functions) Fire alarms (overview of general maintenance requirements) Passive fire protection Active fire protection Running a Fire Warden Courseyears Certification: A Fire Warden Instructor Training Certificate (5 years) is awarded to participants once they have successfully completed the course.
