Claude Community Build night
This is the first Claude Community Australia build night, and it works differently to our regular events.
No panel. No long demo. A short talk from a developer at MongoDB to set up the stack, and then the rest of the night is yours to build in.
Audience is limited to strictly 40 people for this format!
The format
You get a problem and a backend. You get the rest of the night to turn that into something that runs, and if you want it to, something that is live on the internet before you go home.
You will not get the problem in advance. That is deliberate. Going from a cold brief to a working thing is most of the actual skill in building with Claude Code, and you cannot practise it if you have had a week to plan. Everyone starts at the same line, at the same minute.
What we will tell you now: it is a real problem, the data is real, and the backend is MongoDB. Bring your judgement, not a head start.
Who this is for
People who already build with Claude Code. Not "I have heard of it". You have installed it, pointed it at a project, and got something working.
Read this bit properly. If you are earlier than that, apply anyway. You will learn a lot from being in the room. But go in with your eyes open. It moves fast, there is no beginner track, and nobody will be explaining the fundamentals from scratch. Parts of the night will be uncomfortable.
That is a fine trade if you know it is coming. If you would rather start gentler, come to one of our intro sessions and catch the next build night instead.
Seats are approved, not first come. Tell us honestly where you are at when you apply. We would rather put you in the right room than the next available one.
