#16 Lisbon GenAI Meetup | Lisbon GenAI x AI.PT x AI Lisbon @Riskified Lisbon

Riskified, Lisbon, Portugal · Lisbon GenAI Community
In person

## The Lisbon GenAI Community is back for Meetup #16 This time, we’re joining forces with AI.PT and AI Lisbon for an evening focused on what happens when AI agents move beyond demos and start interacting with real-world systems. From turning the browser itself into an API to rethinking how AI agents should be operated, controlled and designed around humans, two speakers will share very different perspectives on what it takes to make agents useful in production. 🗓️ October 20th\, 2026 \| 18:30 \| Riskified Lisbon A big thank you to Riskified for hosting us, and to AI.PT, AI Lisbon and synvert xgeeks for helping bring the community together. ### 📅 Agenda 18:30 — Check-in, Drinks & Networking 19:00 — Opening & Community Intro Lisbon GenAI Community · AI.PT · AI Lisbon · Riskified ### 19:15 — 🎤 Talk 1: The Browser is the API Robert Berglund — Senior Software Engineer @ Riskified Abstract: Every new payment gateway used to mean the same thing for us: learn its API, map its payloads, handle its web-hooks, test it, and maintain it forever. Some gateways don't even offer an API, so for those the answer was a manual process. What if we could integrate with every gateway through one universal API instead? In this talk, we'll cover how we built an AI agent that uses the portal like a human does, and how onboarding a gateway went from a development project to a config entry. By the end of the talk, you'll learn how it works, what it took to run it unattended in production, how you can do it yourself, and where the line sits between what you let a model do and what stays plain code. ### 19:50 — 🎤 Talk 2: Please do not touch — Running AI agents like a museum runs a collection André Gonçalves — Head of Innovation & Growth @ synvert xgeeks Abtract: A museum is an operating system for the moments that matter. AI agents will soon be as common as artworks, and just as dependent on what surrounds them. Museums quietly solved that before anyone said “agent”, so this talk is a g

Move the Qi: An Evening with Master Masahiro Ouchi

TEJÁ HOUSE, Lisbon, Portugal
In person

Masahiro Ouchi has been practising for 45 years, and on October 21st he is coming to Teja House to teach us. He is the founder and director of TaoZen Life Practice, the Healing Tao Center of New York and the Healing Tao Center of Japan, a senior instructor of Universal Healing Tao, and the author of What is Chi Nei Tsang?, One Minute Meditation and Healing Love, among others. His path began in childhood at a 600-year-old Zen temple in Japan, moved through Kendo, Kyudo and Shaolin Kung Fu, then a year in India at twenty to study yoga. He is a senior student of Grandmaster Mantak Chia, and has also studied under Li Jun Feng (who taught Jet Li), the parapsychologist Dr. Hiroshi Motoyama, and Michizo Noguchi. He has taught at New York University, Queens College, the NY Open Center, Chiva-Som in Thailand, Ananda in the Himalayas and SHA Wellness in Spain, and his students range from global business leaders to underprivileged communities, because he believes these practices belong to everyone. This will not be a lecture. Masahiro asked for three things in the room: conversation, movement and breath. We will hear where the practice comes from and what 45 years of it does to a body, and then we will stand up and do it together. Come in clothes you can move in. Agenda: 6:30 Doors and drinks 7:00 Masahiro begins 8:30 Networking and conversation This event is organized by Longevity Wednesdays and sponsored by TEJÁ House. TEJÁ is a cultural house on the river at Cais do Sodré, open seven days. A warehouse with a studio for yoga, pilates and movement, a kitchen and a bar, and one long room that holds concerts, exhibitions, workshops and late dinners. The day runs into the night without a seam: a class at midday, a table to work at through the afternoon, a live set after dark. Not a venue you book once and forget. A door that knows your name by the third visit. http://tejahouse.com http://instagram.com/tejahouse
