What does it actually take to turn deep scientific and technological expertise into a company? At our next Deep Tech Club on 5 October, we’ll hear from three founders who are doing exactly that – building companies around deep knowledge and technology, with different paths into entrepreneurship: Dr. Jacqueline De Lora, SURFACtoBioTech – scientist turned entrepreneur in droplet-based biotechnology (https://surfacto.com/ ) Dr. Sanaz Bahari Javan, VitaSeq – scientist and founder developing technology for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease (https://www.vitaseq.com/ ) Anina Tietjens, Anori Tech – business expert building a battery-tech startup together with engineers (https://anoritech.com/en/index.html ) Together, we’ll explore what happens when scientific expertise and technology meet entrepreneurship. Rather than focusing only on the technologies, we want to talk about the realities of building the companies around them: finding markets and customers, financing, scaling, building the right team and making difficult entrepreneurial decisions – as well as their experiences of building deep-tech companies here in Hamburg. For scientists, it’s a chance to get an inside perspective on what a founder journey can actually look like – and to explore where your own expertise or technology could take you. For investors, it’s an opportunity to connect with scientists and gain access to Hamburg’s research and deep-tech community. And of course, we want your questions too. In Kooperation mit dem "Hamburg C# and .NET User Group Meetup" laden wir ein zu folgendem Event: Join us for an evening of technical talks covering AI-assisted software delivery and native vector search in SQL Server. Schedule: 18:00 - Doors open 18:30 - Talks begin Talk 1: KI schreibt Code „KI schreibt Code" ist inzwischen der leichte Teil. Das Schwierige ist alles drumherum: Wo steht die Aufgabe, wer entscheidet, dass sie maschinenreif ist, wer sieht sich das Ergebnis an, bevor es echte Menschen trifft — und welcher Teil davon muss überhaupt in der Cloud liegen? Der Vortrag zeigt an einem durchgehenden, live vorgeführten Beispiel, wie eine gut beschriebene Aufgabe von der Beschreibung bis in die Produktion wandert, ohne dass jemand Code kopiert. Drei selbst gebaute Bausteine greifen ineinander: ein Vorgangssystem mit eingebettetem MCP-Server (dieselben Rechte, dieselbe Historie und dieselben Handler wie die REST-API, statt einer zweiten, driftenden Schnittstelle), ein eigenständiger Agent, der sich freigegebene Aufgaben selbst greift und als Merge Request zurückliefert, und ein RAG-Cluster auf eigenen GPUs. Der Höhepunkt ist zugleich der Kern der Idee: Jeder Merge Request bekommt automatisch eine begehbare Umgebung mit einer Kopie der echten Daten. Man kann das Ergebnis nicht nur lesen, sondern anfassen — und die Datenbank-Migration probt gegen echtes Schema, bevor sie nachts um drei in der Produktion scheitert. Die Auflösung ist eine Frage der Souveränität: Der gesamte Aufbau läuft auf Blech im eigenen Büro; der einzige verbleibende Cloud-Dienst — das Sprachmodell — ist gegen einen eigenen Ollama-Cluster austauschbar, die Wahl fällt in der Konfiguration, nicht im Code.
