Hackathon for Good: AI by Women, for Women
About this event
Calling all women working in AI: help build solutions that make a difference to other women's lives.
Your expertise could help another woman find work, build her business, develop new skills or access opportunities. Join Equals and Prosus for a day of building, sharing ideas and putting AI to work for women, with lunch included.
We're bringing together women working in AI and participants from our AI Nights series to tackle practical challenges faced by women. It's a chance to work alongside other women in the field, share what you know and explore what you can build together.
In small teams, you'll turn a real challenge into an AI-powered solution. Think of a tool that helps women translate their experience into career opportunities, an assistant that supports women starting a business, or a way to practise interviews and build confidence in a new language.
The challenges are shaped with organisations that support women, so your work starts with a concrete need. You'll bring your own perspective, experiment with ideas and develop a prototype or concept to present at the end of the day.
Women understand challenges that deserve better solutions. Let's build them together.
Who is this event for?
We're especially calling on women working in AI: developers, data scientists, researchers, product managers, designers, founders and professionals applying AI in their everyday work.
If you've been looking for a way to use your skills to support other women, this is your invitation. Bring your technical knowledge, product thinking, creativity or understanding of what makes a tool useful.
Participants from our AI Nights series and women with experience of the challenges we're tackling are equally welcome. You don't need to code: strong teams also need people who can listen, research, write, design and understand the women who will use what we build.
Why join?
Apply your AI expertise to a challenge you care about.

Uncommon Ground: A free Pop-up Creator & Makerspace
Welcome to our pop-up creators’ and makers’ space: an open, low-barrier environment where people of all disciplines can come together to create. Bring your own tools, whether that’s a laptop, a sketchbook, a typewriter, or a crochet kit and spend time sketching, making, coding, writing, painting, sewing, or building. The concept is simple: no workshops, no formal program, just an open space where everyone is welcome to focus on their own project or get inspired by others. It’s about creating side by side, with minimal structure and maximum accessibility. We can learn and inspire each other. Whether you want to work on your side project, procrastinate your side project with a new side project, or learn a new skill, or just drink coffee - you're welcome to drop by anytime during 10-18h for as long or short as you want. The event is intended to cross-pollination between different disciplines, spark fresh ideas, and inspire participants to explore skills outside their comfort zone. Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or experience.
