About this event

Join us for the German-Brazilian Startup Night at Web Summit 2026!
For many years, Startup Germany Night has been one of the flagship networking events for Germany's startup ecosystem during Web Summit. This year, the format enters an exciting new chapter: for the first time, the event will be hosted in close partnership with apexBrasil as the German-Brazilian Startup Night.
Bringing together startups, investors, corporates, policymakers, and ecosystem leaders from Germany, Brazil, Portugal, and beyond, the event offers a unique opportunity to connect two dynamic innovation ecosystems and foster new international partnerships.
Meet outstanding founders and innovators, exchange ideas with decision-makers, and explore new opportunities for collaboration, market access, and growth. With more than 600 expected guests, the German-Brazilian Startup Night is set to be one of the largest networking events surrounding Web Summit 2026.
Guests can look forward to inspiring welcome addresses from high-level representatives from Germany and Brazil, followed by an evening of networking, music, drinks, and finger food in a unique setting overlooking Lisbon's historic waterfront.
The event highlights the growing cooperation between Germany and Brazil in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology. By bringing together key stakeholders from both countries, it creates new opportunities for knowledge exchange, business development, and lasting partnerships across borders.
The event is presented by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), the Federal Ministry for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation (BMDS), the de:hub initiative, and German Accelerator. The event is held in cooperation with apexBrasil and Berlin Partner. It is organised by the German-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (AHK Portugal) and Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), with support from the German Embassy in Lisbon and Startup Portugal.

Kube Coworking | Lisboa, Lisbon, Portugal
In person

Lightning Talks is back at Kübe. Short talks, ten minutes Lightning Talks is back at Kübe. Short talks, ten minutes each, then real questions, then the room opens up. This one is about the rules nobody wrote down. The things everyone living here learns the hard way: who you call and who you visit, what a yes really means, which habit from home stopped working. Our speakers each tell one true story about a rule they got wrong. The question for the night: which of your home rules did you drop here, and which did you keep? Bring your answer. The Q&A is the best part, and this room has people from all over, so expect different answers. Come as you are. Grab a seat, listen, ask a real question if you have one. Free entry, limited seats. Here is how the last one went: the Lightning Talks #4 recap and the event page. HOW THE NIGHT GOES 19:30, doors open. Settle in, grab a seat. Estádio da Tapadinha, Lisbon, Portugal
In person

On Saturday, 7 November, 8 startup teams will play in a 7-a-side football tournament. 2 ticket types: player tickets 15€, guest ticket 5€. --- On Saturday, 7 November, we're taking over the Atlético CP synthetic pitch for a 7-a-side football tournament for the startup community, for the second time! ⚽️ It's the weekend right before Web Summit, so it's a good excuse to get out of Slack, meet other founders and teams, and kick off the busiest week of the year with a few games under your belt. You sign up as a player, or as a team. If you already have six or more teammates, great, tell us with the name of your startup when you register and we'll keep you together. (You'll only be charged when your team is approved) If you're coming with one colleague or on your own, we'll put you in a mixed team with people from other startups. Honestly, that's half the fun! 🏃 Tickets are €15 per player to join the match. If you only come for the networking you can get the 5€ guest ticket. Spots are limited, so grab yours here on Luma.
