AROC x Kiuas - Robotics Validation Workshop

Puumiehenkuja 5, Espoo, Finland
In person

"I have a hardware project, how do I know if there's a company in it?" That's the question this evening is built around. Rethink Robotics built genuinely good robots and shut down anyway. Building the thing is rarely what kills a hardware startup. Finding out whether anyone actually needs it, before you spend two years on it, is the hard part. Kiuas will be running this session. They're a non-profit Founder Collective in Otaniemi with ten years of knowledge watching startups fail and succeed. They'll take us through how to pressure-test an idea properly: who feels the pain, who actually pays to fix it, and what you can put in front of a real customer within a week. Hardware doesn't follow the software playbook. In robotics the person suffering from the problem almost never holds the budget, and there are usually five people who can say no before anyone gets to say yes. This makes validation all the more important. Bring your laptop, your own project, or pick an idea from a list we provide. This workshop is hands-on. You'll leave with a plan you could start executing the next morning. Open to everyone. No startup experience needed, and no robotics background either.
