For our second workshop, we’re hosting a workshop with William Davis on Jesmonite casting! No prior experience needed, all equipment and materials will be provided. Jesmonite is a liquid-and-powder mix that hardens into a smooth, stone-like material within 20 minutes and easily dyed or marbled! It’s easy to mix up, and quick to cure, the ideal material for learning about casting in molds. In this workshop we will cover: The basics of mold casting The specifics of casting with Jesmonite A demonstration of Jesmonite casting Mixing and casting your own item to take home We will be providing a variety of silicone molds of small planters, coasters, bowls, vases and candle holders, as well as the Jesmonite and suitable add-ins! We recommend wearing aprons or clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We will provide gloves! The €10 cost covers all material and equipment costs, with any leftover proceeds going to fund future workshops and finding a permanent home for H91 Maker Space!
