About this event

This ECNP Network satellite meeting, organized by the ECNP Resilience Network , aims to advance a standardized and clinically relevant framework for resilience in mental health. Resilience is increasingly recognized as a key concept for explaining why individuals differ in their responses to adversity, challenges, and disease, yet its definition, measurement, biological substrates, and clinical translation remain highly heterogeneous across disciplines.
The meeting will bring together leading experts from psychiatry, neuroscience, psychology, and translational research to examine resilience from complementary perspectives, including conceptual foundations, methodological approaches, and neurobiological and psychological mechanisms. By integrating theoretical, empirical, and clinical viewpoints, the satellite will foster dialogue on how resilience can be more precisely operationalized and used to inform precision psychiatry interventions.
The satellite will provide an opportunity to identify conceptual convergences between basic and clinical research, methodological challenges, and future priorities for moving beyond resilience as a broad descriptive term and toward a measurable, mechanistically grounded, and clinically actionable construct.
