Across the 1,911 Series C+ rounds tracked in Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands, Germany leads with a median deal size of 2 million, which is 9% larger than the Netherlands 2 million and 10% above Switzerland 2 million. Germany 2 million median deal size indicates a slightly larger investment scale at the Series C+ stage compared to its neighbors.
Switzerland commands the largest share of Series C+ deals relative to its total venture activity, with 18.3% of its 1,243 deals occurring at this stage, compared to Germany 16.6% share of 8,113 total deals and the Netherlands 15.7% share of 2,178 total deals.
MEDIAN SERIES C+ ROUND SIZE BY COUNTRY
Examining the deal size distributions reveals that the 25th percentile round sizes in the Netherlands and Switzerland are closely matched, at approximately 4.65 million and 4.87 million respectively, while Germany 25th percentile is slightly higher at 4.96 million. The 75th percentile round size shows a wider spread, with the Netherlands reaching up to about 202 million, Germany at 200 million, and Switzerland slightly lower at 183 million.
The data shows Germany leads in median and lower quartile deal sizes, Switzerland has the highest share of late-stage deals, and the Netherlands exhibits the widest range in upper quartile deal sizes.
