What's (Real | Fake) with AI?!

17:00The Punk Rock Museum, Las Vegas, United States

Having a hard time figuring out what's real and what's fake these days? You're not alone. While we have no silver bullets, we do have faith in the power of really smart, interested people with exactly the right mix of structure and chaos coming together to figure it out -- or make a really loud bang trying. That's right, we are taking over The Punk Rock Museum in Vegas again this year kicking off Black Hat week with a room full of outsiders and outliers - the ones who ask why not instead of why! We didn't plan on doing it again. And then we couldn't not. Come party with the most genuine band of security-obsessed ride-or-die anarchist builders. The Polaris Collective is back at the Punk Rock Museum. August 3, 2026. Monday night, doors open at 5p. This year's theme: What's (Real|Fake) with A?! Panel 1 — "What's (Real|Fake) with AI: Connecting Intention and Proof" Intentions are Cheap... Proof Isn't. Where do intention, proof, and control intersect and support each other - and where do they fall apart? What bits can be trusted when media, technology delivery, and trusted authority are all besieged by doubt? With sharp takes from GetReal Security Head of Threat Intel Tom Cross, Cyber + AI expert/builder Daniel Miessler, and ResembleAI's Zohaib Ahmed, all who understand both where the edge of defense innovation is happening and where evolving AI threats are going in duping human and machine detection. Interlude - The Release of Proof of Control, a new AI security standard co-chaired by Ken Huang Advanced AI Society is unveiling version 0.1 of the Proof-of-Control standard, and naming its founding contributors, live in the room. Tricia Wang, CEO and co-founder of Advanced AI Society, opens with a 5-minute overview of the standard Mo Sadek moderates a 20-minute fireside chat with Ken Huang and Jim Schwoebel, Director of the Advanced AI Society Open Verification Lab and CEO of Quome. Panel 2 — "AI Gatekeepers & Anarchists - Risk Control in Chaos" Finding the balance between
