This is an Open Call to film schools, studios, and artists! AI on the Lot is hosting a curated 8-hour creative sprint at our headquarters on the Culver City plaza. Sit down with best-in-class creatives, focus, and create something amazing at our Sunday Sprint! This event has limited capacity and is selective. The Prompt This Sunday Sprint is focused on animation. Over an 8-hour period of deep focus, you will make an animated short. Participants can join as individuals or teams. You will draw a random number corresponding to a year (10,000 BC, 1265, 2040, etc.) and will be challenged to develop a short pilot episode about someone's first day of a new job in that year. The session will begin with a short talk from animation executive Joel Kuwahara (Bob's Burger, Simpsons, Duncanville) and Claudio Jimenez (Founder of Mighty Animation studio). Bring your laptop, pick an app you love (Genjutsu, Cinema Studio or something else) and then rebuild it open-source on the Comfy Developer Platform, with in-person support from Comfy devs. This event is one day before submissions close for the Open Source Higgsfield Competition, so come over to start your entry, finish it, or just see what everyone’s building.
