Tempelhofer Feld Walk: I Want Out Of Tech

OCT8
18:15 · Europe / Berlin

About this event

You're working in a startup or in VC and you've built a career that your childhood friends envy. On paper it's all great: you're earning well, you get to travel, you have cool colleagues and bragging rights. And yet, you're not satisfied.
I've been there. I know what it's like to feel bad for not enjoying the things you're supposed to be enjoying. After sitting with that dissatisfaction for longer than I probably should have, I eventually left tech after 12 years to build something of my own.
For me, the courage to actually make this switch started with conversations, with wondering out loud: what if I actually tried this or that?
So now I want to create space for others to do the same.

Maybe you don't know what you want yet, and that's ok. Most people joining are still figuring things out, and that's exactly why this conversation is worth having.

Join me for a walk across Tempelhofer Feld, to talk honestly about what's not working and think about what you'd want instead.
I love the Feld, and if you live in Berlin, chances are you do too. It's expansive, quiet, full of inspiring weirdos, and there's something about that open space that makes it easier to think big. Also, the sunsets are 👌👌
Schedule
18:15 — Meet at the entrance (exact location shared after you register)
18:20 — Start walking
19:30 - 20:00 — Finish walk, depending on our pace
If we feel like it, we can hang around on the Feld or go for a drink after at a bar nearby.

❗ One important thing
I know this is the kind of topic people might want to keep private. So I'll only approve one person per company, so you don't end up walking next to a colleague.

About your host

I'm Andra, a career coach based in Berlin and I work with people in tech who are figuring out what's next.

I've always loved bringing people together and creating space for good conversations, so this walk is an excuse to do exactly that.

Coffee & Lift Saturdays #19 — Women+ Gym Meetup

19grams Alex – Coffee Roastery, Berlin, Germany
In person

When I first started strength training, I was intimidated, confused, and nowhere near consistent. I kept thinking it would be easier if I just had other women around me going through the same thing. So I'm starting exactly that — for women who want to be more serious about their strength training, get extra accountability and a community of women. How it works We meet in front of a cafe, grab a coffee, take a walk together (25min walk), and end at a gym nearby. Want to train after? Great — work on your own program or buddy up with someone. Prefer to just do the walk and grab a coffee? Also great. What matters is that you're surrounded by other women who are interested in getting stronger. Free Evo Fitness day passes for our community! Evo Fitness is offering registered members 3 free day passes to come try the gym, plus an exclusive discounted membership rate. Please make sure that you get your free Evo Fitness day passes by signing up here BEFORE the session: https://evofitness.de/en/womens-lift-club. And please select "Free Gym Pass" option when you register. Also, as a member of the Women's Lift Club, you'll have the opportunity to sign up for an exclusive EVO membership with a 10 € discount on the regular Flex rate. All we ask in return is a quick story from the session tagging @womensliftclub. Free filter coffee from 19grams! 19grams is treating us to filter coffee when we arrive, courtesy of their team. It's first come, first served — so show up on time! Plus, 15% off anything else at the bar for the whole group. Where we meet: We meet at 19grams Alex We walk for 25min We hit the gym together at Evo Fitness Spittelmarkt What to bring Comfy shoes, your gym stuff and your energy! Locks for storing your bags while training The coffee and walk are free to join and open to everyone. For the gym session, you'll need your own access to Evo Fitness Spittelmarkt. Wellpass and Urban Sports Club (at least Classic) work too. No worries — we have free gym day passes
