SF Frontier Hackathon: Build your Autonomous Code Factory

SEP24
10:00 · America / Los Angeles

About this event

In this this 10+ hour intensive hackathon led by the research team at Obvious you will build your first Level 2 autonomous software factory. TLDR: you'll be able to start assigning your agents features to build instead of prompts.
Note: This event is entirely free, including unlimited tokens for the hackathon for a limited time only. Building and tokens will require an obvious.ai account.
Come alone or come as a team. If you want to valuemaxx this event the ideal group to bring is:
a technical founder or engineering leader
a product manager (if you have one)
1+ engineers (the more ai-pilled the better)
What to bring
Your laptop
Access to a real Github repo you care about [or] a clear vision for a greenfield project
A bug backlog or a list of small improvements
An Obvious workspace. Sign up and follow the onboarding steps (will be shared in advance).
Meals and snacks are provided. 🍕🍻
What we'll be covering in the sessions:
How to...
design the complete hands-off build loop (coding agent of your choice)
manage a multi-pr autonomous agent swarm
prepare more ambitious builds (entire features or even products)
manage QA, code review, and human feedback without slowing down the work
decide where to spend time vs go hands off
rethink both devops and organizational roles in a world of autonomy
scale autonomous software delivery safely
think about roadmap and software design when you can build anything practical in a day
What you'll be working on:
Level 1
designing the core verification, monitoring, and "ralph" steps of your loop (how you trust the outcomes)
context engineering improvements to allow agents to operate without constant steering
Level 2
executable sandbox environments in the cloud (give the agents a computer)
optimizing CI to be compatible with a rapidly looping factory
setting up agentic reviewers (if you don't have them)
determining autonomous inputs to your factory (bug reports, feature requests, etc)
connecting your factory to your sources of work, feedback

San Francisco, CA, San Francisco Bay Area, United States
In person

Direct access to Claude, the Anthropic team, and an afternoon built around the work you actually do. This Claude Coworkshop, presented with Provectus, is a half-day product experience for business leaders who live in documents, spreadsheets, decks, and cross-tool workflows — Finance, Operations, Marketing, HR, Legal, Sales. You'll experience a live "Day in the Life" demo that follows a business leader through a real workday with Claude: the afternoon brief pulled from Slack and Salesforce, the variance analysis the CFO needed by noon, the board deck that built itself, the internal tool Engineering said they couldn't get to this quarter. Then you'll open your own laptop and build something real for your role — with the Anthropic and Provectus team in the room to help. The focus is the product, the people who build it, and the work you do every week. Why attend See Claude handle your actual workday. Codex Community Meetup - San Francisco

San Francisco, CA, San Francisco Bay Area, United States
In person

Come hang out with the SF Codex community for an evening all about building with your voice brought to you by WorkOS and Parallel.ai Codex Voice lets you do a lot more than dictate prompts. You can talk through an idea, kick off coding tasks, steer agents while they work, check progress, and coordinate multiple threads without constantly going back to the keyboard. We’ll spend the first 30 minutes hanging out and meeting people, then jump into about an hour of live demos showing different ways to use voice with Codex, from everyday coding workflows to more ambitious voice-driven agent orchestration. If you’ve been experimenting with Codex already, come swap ideas. If you haven’t tried Voice yet, this is a good place to see what it can do.
