About this event

Science to Start-Up, a collaboration between Velocity and the Student Association of Medical Sciences (SAMS), is an inspiring evening showcasing how science is transformed into real-world healthcare solutions through start-ups and innovation.
The evening will bring students, researchers, and founders together to explore how ideas in medicine, biomedical science, and the broader scientific disciplines evolve into impactful ventures. Whether you are interested in clinical practice, research, or start-ups, this is an opportunity to discover pathways that connect science and innovation.
We will hear firsthand from industry and research leaders about the process of translating scientific ideas into successful inventions and ventures, and how to navigate the early stages of start-up development. This features a discussion with our speakers who work in the science-based start-up space, who will share challenges, and lessons learned throughout their journeys.
