MPC Forum 2026 — The ESG of AI

OCT19
13:00
  • MPC Forum 2026 explores the environmental, social, and governance impacts of artificial intelligence.

  • Attendees gain insights into AI’s energy demands, social consequences, and governance frameworks.

About this event

Artificial intelligence is moving faster than most organisations can govern it.
Its environmental impact can be seen in data-centre energy demand, cooling water, hardware lifecycles, electronic waste and carbon emissions.
Its social impact is changing education, employment, professional competence, privacy, inclusion and the distribution of opportunity.
Its governance impact raises more difficult questions: Who is accountable? What evidence is required? When should concerns be escalated? How can an AI-supported decision be explained, audited and defended?
MPC Forum 2026 brings together business, technology, project management, education and sustainability professionals to examine AI through three connected lenses:
Environmental
Energy demand, data centres, cooling water, cloud emissions, hardware lifecycles, electronic waste, carbon accountability and credible decarbonisation.
Social
Education, professional competence, employment, reskilling, inclusion, privacy, bias, human judgement and the distribution of AI’s benefits and risks.
Governance
Human oversight, accountability, data sovereignty, intellectual property, cybersecurity, transparency, auditability and defensible sign-off.
