Making illegal things legal. Innovation vs regulation.
About this event
What if the next big innovation is simply not yet legal?
Join us at Oslo Innovation Week for a discussion on how governments can turn regulation into a driver of innovation and help new ideas reach the market faster.
The conversation will highlight Accelerate Estonia, Estonia's governmental innovation lab that works with entrepreneurs, companies and the public sector to identify and remove regulatory barriers and enable innovative solutions.
A panel of Norwegian innovation industry leaders will discuss how the Nordic-Baltic region can rethink regulation to create an environment in which new ideas can become scalable businesses.
Together with Estonian and Nordic entrepreneurs, investors and innovators, we'll explore:
How can regulation support innovation rather than slow it down?
How can governments enable experimentation while maintaining safety and trust?
What Norway and the wider Nordic region can learn from Estonia's testbed approach?
Are some ideas "illegal" simply because regulations have not yet caught up?
