Leadership Lab: AI as Your Thinking Partner

AUG26
09:00
  • School leaders face increasing cognitive load and shrinking strategic thinking time.
  • This workshop helps principals and school leaders use AI to support clearer thinking, better decisions, and reduced workload.
  • Participants will gain practical AI strategies, prompts, and confidence for leadership challenges.

About this event

School leaders are carrying unprecedented cognitive load.
Decision-making pressure is constant. Workload keeps expanding. Strategic thinking time keeps shrinking.
This one-day leadership lab is designed for principals and school leaders who want to think more clearly, decide more confidently, and use AI as a practical thinking partner, not just another tool to manage .
Rather than focusing on platforms or technical features, the day centres on how AI can support leadership judgement, clarity, productivity, and cognitive load reduction in the real conditions school leaders are working in right now.

What You’ll Gain From the Day
By the end of the day, participants will have:
Practical ways to use AI to reduce workload and cognitive load
Strategies for improving productivity without sacrificing judgment
Examples of how school leaders are using AI as a thinking partner
Clear approaches to better decision-making using AI support
A set of ready-to-use prompts for real leadership challenges
Greater confidence in using AI safely, professionally, and purposefully
Participants are encouraged to bring their laptop and mobile phone.

What Others Have Said
"I really enjoyed the balance of the day and the opportunity to hear what others are doing, paired with time to reflect and think about application in our own setting. The conversations were rich, and the focus on real, practical use (rather than just theory) made it incredibly valuable.
To be honest, my brain has been overflowing ever since with ideas and possibilities, particularly around how we can use AI more intentionally in our context. I walked away feeling both energised and challenged (in a good way), and I’ve already found myself thinking about practical ways to embed what we explored into our work at school."
Desolee Cowley, Deputy Principal, Capricornia School of Distance Education
