LEM #2 - The AI Revolution
Vibe coding is here to stay and nearly half of the engineers I know are no longer
coding by hand. The times have changed. People, however, will remain people.
As a Lead Engineer, how have you changed your own workflow/automation? How do you "Lead"
differently when your team are submitting slops left-and-right? Do you still hire
"Junior"s or are you focusing purely on seniors now? Does your team productivity actually
10x or is it just 0.5x because of the huge pile of open Pull Requests?
As with the first LEM, as a "Lead Engineer", "Engineering Manager", or "CTO"s having to
decide all these policies with limited information, the "business people" breathing down
your neck, and a timeline that is even tigher because of the assumed "AI" magic is a
tough job to do by yourself alone.
Let's meet real people for a change, and let's share what tools/practices do we have to
navigate the new AI era. Let's meetup.
