If AI does the junior work, how do we become seniors?

About this event

The early years of a career are where we learn through smaller tasks, mistakes and feedback. If AI handles more of that work, where does the next generation get its experience?
Join us for a fireside conversation about learning, mentorship and career progression in the age of AI. We'll explore what it takes to develop judgment when you can generate an answer before you fully understand the problem.
We'll discuss:
What should juniors learn to do themselves?
How can managers give people meaningful experience as their work changes?
What demonstrates ability when AI can help produce a polished portfolio?
How should hiring and mentorship adapt?
This conversation is for students, early-career professionals, managers, mentors and educators thinking about how people grow at work.
Bring questions about your own career or the people you're helping develop.

Show & Tell @TheMalaysian.ai Residency: Hardware Edition

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
In person

Every Thursday, a group of builders, creators and AI enthusiasts gather at 500 Global's office (in AICB) and have a Show & Tell session. At 4:30pm, everyone takes turns doing a quick sharing. We'll share what we learned from the week, features we shipped, ideas we explored, AI use cases we discovered, research we came across. And learn from other people in the room. It's a 3 mins sharing and a 1 min Q&A / feedback sesh. Note: This is not a pitch, it’s a session with other builders to share what you’re learning to help the community, and for you to learn and get feedback. Earlier that day from 12pm to 4:30pm, we'll co-work on our own projects and startups - in a community where everyone is building. You're surrounded by the highest concentration of AI builders in Malaysia, where you'll be working alongside people like you. About the Malaysian AI Residency This weekly gathering is part of the Malaysian AI Residency - a 2-month intensive program where teams build out their AI startup ideas full-time at the office. We're creating the highest concentration of AI builders in Malaysia, and these Thursdays are your chance to plug directly into that energy. Every Thursday, we open 10 seats for people who are building things in AI and want a space to focus. Think of it like your usual workday, but with great company. We keep it small on purpose so it stays meaningful. As spaces are limited, we vet everyone to make sure anyone we let in is able to fit well with the community. If you've never joined us before, please ensure you give enough information about yourself in the registration for us to properly get to know you and what you're working on. If this feels like your kind of Thursday, do sign up & share this Luma with a friend too! Agenda 12:00 PM - 4:30 PMCo-working: Plug in, focus, and build alongside other AI creators.
