About this event

Fear sewing stretch no longer with this simple stretch top project to help you dive head first into the amazing world of what stretch sewing has to offer! In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of stretch sewing while making a fitted stretch top customized to your measurements. This class will cover the principle of negative ease, handling stretch fabrics, and sewing and hemming knits. Participants can even pick between two sleeve styles, a flutter sleeve or a sleek cap sleeve.

This class is ideal for beginner sewists who are familiar with using a sewing machine and can sew straight seams with consistent seam allowance and/or have finished the Beginner 1 page of their Sewing Skills Passport.
Fabric and machines will be provided for participants, but if you have your own sewing machine, we recommend bringing it to become better acquainted with it.
