About this event

Brussels, Capital of AI?

The FARI Brussels Conference returns on November 23 at the Studio Flagey in Brussels!
Most countries and cities have now embraced AI. More than simply catching up, many are trying to turn the tide, positioning themselves as the “capital of AI”, where decisions are made, new startups boom, and innovation and regulation take shape. Across Europe, from Brussels to Paris, London to Helsinki, several cities have laid claim to this title.
But what does it mean to have multiple “capitals,” hubs, or epicenters? What does this fragmentation say about the current landscape? Is there a need to better structure and federate these efforts? Beyond competing in a global race, has any city truly succeeded in creating an inclusive model that empowers local organizations and citizens? The FARI Conference 2026 will put these questions to the test, bringing together voices from cities that have tried, succeeded, or are still finding their path. This is not about competition, but about a more fundamental question: do we need a capital of AI at all? And if so, should and could Brussels become one?
The Brussels-Capital Region is at a decisive moment for AI. Artificial intelligence, data, and robotics are no longer distant topics for experts alone. They have become a practical issue for public administrations, businesses, researchers and citizens alike. The question is therefore no longer whether AI will shape Brussels, but how Brussels will shape AI. With its strong research and innovation ecosystem and its central role in public policy, Brussels can define its own approach to AI: one that is not only competitive, but also trustworthy, inclusive, sustainable and rooted in public value.
As FARI celebrates its fifth anniversary, the conference is both a moment to reflect on the impact already achieved and a platform to open the next chapter: helping make Brussels a capital of AI in Europe by strengthening its capacity to lead in responsible and sovereign AI, rooted

GTM Engineering, hype or reality?

Beci, Brussels, Belgium
In person

GTM Engineering: Hype or Reality? We dig into what most of you are already tinkering with: using AI to automate and augment GTM workflows. Practitioner-led, deliberately informal, and honest about what didn't work. Nathan and Kevin from Spott open on how they approach AI in GTM: what to automate first, what to leave alone, and how to tell the difference. Then Roger Akayesi (GTM Engineer, Powernaut.io), Christine Hick (Head of Growth, Oper Credits), and Amaury Hellebuyck (Global RevOps, TechWolf) compare notes on what worked, what didn't, how to embed AI in the org, and where the cost model is heading. Open Q&A after, then drinks and bites. Open to the wider ecosystem this time. Come compare notes. ---- Syndicate One backs ambitious Belgian tech founders, investing out of a €22M fund run by 40+ operators and investors, not career fund managers. Field Notes is where our portfolio companies compare notes on what actually worked and what didn't. This one's your first look inside.
