Welcome to the inaugural Code for Community Austin meetup! Our goal is to connect technologists, creatives, and community organizations to find valuable problems and build useful solutions. We do this by matching community needs with interested technology and design partners. What to expect at this first event We'll hear from a few community organizations about projects they're working on and where they could use support. Damon will share more about Code for Community: our goals, how we're thinking about the matching system, and how you can contribute. Then we'll spend time connecting builders with each other, so if you have skills you want to put to work, you can sign up and meet others doing the same. This is our first event, so you're getting in at the ground floor. The people who show up now will shape how this group works, what we build, and who we become. Come help us get it right. For community organizations Nonprofits, mutual-aid groups, and community organizations are invited to sign up in advance to share a project. Whether that means improving a website, organizing data, simplifying a process, reaching more people, or exploring a new idea, we want to hear about it. Submit a project here.
