🟠 6:00 PM — Doors open Arrive, grab a name tag, pick your Bitcoin comfort level sticker. No pressure, no rush.

🟠 6:15 PM — Welcome + quick round Short welcome from your host Donovan, then a quick go-around — name and one sentence on where you're at with Bitcoin. No wrong answer.

🟠 6:35 PM — Open conversation Topic clusters based on what the room wants to talk about. Self-custody, Lightning, getting started, whatever comes up. Everyone finds their conversation.

🟠 7:15 PM — Open floor One question to the whole room. Good conversation, good energy.

🟠 7:30 PM — Wrap up Next meetup announced, quick thanks, hard out by 7:45

Whether you bought your first sats yesterday or you've been stacking since 2017, you belong here. Show up alone, show up curious someone will say hi, and you'll never be the person standing awkwardly in the corner.

We keep it low-key: real conversations, honest questions, and people genuinely happy to help you figure things out.

Bring your questions, bring a friend, or bring nothing but curiosity.

New to Bitcoin? Especially welcome.

Hosted by Donovan from The Bitcoin Escape Hatch.

Office Hours w/ Metiquity Ventures

HOUSE 831, Calgary, Canada
In person

Join us at House 831 on October 29th for a round of office hours with the team at Metiquity Ventures. Bryan Slauko and Mattye Robson are setting up on the floor for 1:1 sessions with founders. Bring the deck, the messy metrics, the question you've been sitting on, or just come find out what a pre-seed fund actually looks for before you start raising. Metiquity is an Alberta pre-seed fund built around a gap most founders here know well: you need revenue to raise capital, and capital to make revenue. They lead rounds into pre-revenue and early-revenue tech companies across Alberta and the Prairies, and Fund I is building toward a portfolio of 20 to 30 companies. Bryan is a Co-Founder and Founding Director at Metiquity, where he runs the day-to-day of Fund I. He's spent more than two decades across investment analysis, entrepreneurship, and board-level work, holds a CFA charter, and chairs the boards of two local nonprofits. Mattye is an Investment Analyst at Metiquity Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in ambitious Canadian technology companies. As part of Metiquity’s growing team, she supports founder and market diligence, investment analysis, portfolio initiatives, and the firm’s continued institutional growth. Mattye is passionate about working alongside entrepreneurs and contributing to Canada’s technology ecosystem. Prior to Metiquity, Mattye worked in the Private Equity and HR industries. Sessions are 20 minutes and booked in advance. Doors open at 1:00PM. Limited spots. Approval required. Time slots will be sent out beforehand. Thank you Alberta Enterprise Corporation for sponsoring our Office Hours Series.
