A one-day forum on tech, climate, mental health, community & social impact. A Community Panel & Networking An evening forum on what it means to build technology in service of wellbeing. As AI reshapes how we live, work, and care for one another, one question matters more than ever: what does it mean to build and adopt technology in service of holistic wellbeing — human, community, and societal — in the Canadian context? The Mindful Impact Forum brings together nonprofit leaders, founders, technologists, youth, and changemakers for a focused day of conversation and practice. We move deliberately from the human to the technical: first setting the foundation of what wellbeing truly means, then turning to how we build and adopt AI responsibly in service of it. After launching our forum series in Vancouver this past March, we're bringing it to Toronto for a single, focused edition — in partnership with Google Developer Groups and The Dais, TMU. ### What you'll experience A flagship day of remarks, a keynote, and an opening panel on wellbeing A creatively facilitated community forum — real cross-sector dialogue A hands-on AI & technology for social impact workshop Practical tools for leadership, resilience, and innovation you can use the next morning A genuinely cross-sector room: founders, youth leaders, community builders, and changemakers ### The program Session 1 — Framing & Community Panel: What Wellbeing Means Session 2 — AI and Responsible Innovation: From Principles to Practice Session 3 — Finding our Wisdom Way Forward: Future Community Wellbeing & Leadership ## Event Det

ARTIFACTS 02: A Show & Tell for Vintage Tech Hardware

New Stadium, Toronto, Canada
In person

Welcome back to New Stadium in Toronto for the second edition of ARTIFACTS. About ARTIFACTS ARTIFACTS is a recurring show & tell event for tech gadgets of the past. You’re invited to bring a vintage device, share what it got right, what it got wrong, and what it predicted about the future. You are invited to dig up your old iPod, Gameboy, your first phone, an old MP3 player, a Zune, or any other vintage device that you once loved but maybe forgot about, and share what it means to you. The more niche, the better. If you don’t have a device, you’re also welcome to come, learn, and experience the gadgets that others bring with them. The format is loose: mingle with others, then we’ll move to a show & tell, where each person shares their artifact. We’ll collect all the devices on a table and sit around it so we can discuss them openly and freely. No need to have slides or prepare anything, just bring your device and share why it matters. ARTIFACTS is capped at 20 participants, to keep it intimate and allow everyone a chance to share what they bring and experience each others’ tech. Schedule 6:00 - 6:20 — Welcome & Settle in Chat with others, and place your device on a large table for all to see as we begin the event. Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. 6:20 - 6:30 — Intro Gather around the table in a circle to see the full collection of everyone’s devices. I’ll give a short intro talk before we get to sharing. 6:30 - 9 — Show & Tell We’ll go around the circle and have each person share what their devices mean to them, and discuss them in general. About the Organizer I’m Michael Mofina, a product designer at Todoist, and previously Rabbit. I created ARTIFACTS because I know Toronto has people who love this stuff and not enough places for them to find each other. About New New is a media company that reveals depth. We take subjects the world thinks it already understands and show them in a way that makes people see them for the first time. New Stadium
