About this event

Claude Auckland Meetup, September
🗓 Wednesday 30 September 2026 · Doors 5:00pm, talks 5:45pm
Our September meetup brings together the people shaping how AI actually gets used in Aotearoa, from cloud infrastructure to the boardroom to the lecture theatre, plus the builders quietly shipping things on nights and weekends.
Come for the talks, stay for the kōrero. Free, open to everyone, no AI experience required. Drinks and food included.
Speakers
Matthew Haigh, Head of AI, AWS New Zealand
A view from the infrastructure layer: what AWS is seeing across NZ organisations moving from AI experiments to production, and where the real bottlenecks are.
Paul Pritchard, Group CEO, Overdose
The operator's perspective. Paul leads one of the region's largest digital commerce groups and will share what changes when AI stops being a side project and starts reshaping how an agency delivers.
Adam Holt, Anthropic Community Ambassador
A 10 minute lightning talk on live artifacts: building interactive, shareable things with Claude in real time. Expect a live demo.
Show & Tell
Two community members sharing what they've made:
Claire Byrne on building Opspot, a discovery platform for op shops across NZ and Australia that shows what's in store right now. From idea to launch.
Klaus Bravenboer on something more personal: how Claude helped him through a genuinely difficult period in his life. A different kind of AI story, and one worth hearing.
Open Q&A, 20 minutes
We're finishing with a proper open floor. All of our speakers on stage, your questions driving it: strategy, tooling, policy, hiring, what's actually working and what isn't. No pre-vetted questions, no script. Come with something you've been wanting to ask.

Sip & Share Networking. Be a Disco Ball with Rochelle Moffitt

Precinct Flex Britomart Place (Formerly Generator), Auckland, New Zealand
In person

WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 23 – ROCHELLE MOFFITT | Founder, Decibel & Revved Be a Disco Ball: How to create your own luck, get noticed, and light up every room you walk into Rochelle Moffitt has spent the last few years turning her own name into her business - twice starting from nothing, and twice building it back bigger. She doesn't believe luck lands on you. She believes you create it. So many of us wait to be picked, noticed, or given permission before we show up fully - but Rochelle has built her whole career doing the opposite. This conversation is about what actually makes a room remember you, why some people just seem to have all the luck (spoiler… they made it), and how to stop waiting for your moment to start. ROCHELLE MOFFITT Rochelle knows what it takes to turn an empty room - or an empty bank account - into something that lights up. She's the founder of Decibel and co-founder of Revved, and she's spent years teaching women how to be seen, remembered, and sought-after, without shrinking to do it. This session unpacks Rochelle's own framework for creating luck, walking into a room like you own it, and lighting everyone else up while you're at it. Stop waiting for luck. Start designing a life you freaking love. You need to be here. Bring a notebook. Your Access Options Sip & Share ticket: $57 Sip & Share + Breakfast Combo: $125 An exclusive seat at every Sip & Share plus a private breakfast with the speaker, Rochelle, and 14 other women after each event – 9.45–11.15am. Deeper conversations. Direct connections. Real access. First in, first seated. Cheers, Rochelle Sip & Share 2026: Conversations Worth Waking Up For Sip & Share is where caffeine meets conversation and courage takes centre stage. Each morning brings a live, unscripted conversation with Rochelle and a remarkable woman reshaping how we think, lead, and live. It is connection with substance. You'll hear real stories from women who have been through the good, the great and the getting there. Those wh
