Assembly #1 – AI + Hardware engineering

SEP9
17:00 · Europe / Stockholm

About this event

The AI + Hardware engineering community
AI is still early in hardware development, but it is already changing how products get designed and built. This is a group for the people doing that work: engineers and team leads who build hardware and are trying to make AI useful in practice. We meet to compare notes on what is working, what is not, and what everyone is still figuring out on their own.
Assembly #1: The hurdles of adopting AI in hardware development
Our first event, part of Nordic Tech Week, takes on the hurdles of bringing AI into hardware development. We will be hearing stories from interesting voices in the industry, the real challenges in utilising AI. They will share how they actually work: what they have tried, what broke, what stuck, and the concrete things that helped them move.
How it works
A handful of short talks in storytelling style, roughly 20 to 30 minutes each, followed by open discussion with questions from the room. Mingle, food and drinks after. The evening is built around learning from each other, so bring your hardest questions.
Who it is for
Hardware engineers, engineering managers and team leads who develop and manufacture physical products, and who are hands on with AI or want to be.
Where
The Encube office in Hammarby Sjöstad. Food and drinks are on us.

💡 AI meets reality: From AI Potential to Real-World Impact There’s no shortage of conversation about what AI could change. We’re more interested in what happens when you actually try to make it work. About the event: AI's potential is no longer in question — what separates the leaders from the laggards is execution in the real world. Proxify Talks brings together CTOs, senior engineering leaders, and technical executives for an evening of candid keynotes, sharp panel discussions, and honest conversation about what it takes to put AI to work inside real organizations - beyond the hype, beyond the demos, and past the current technological chaos. Climate Resilience in the Age of AI – An Evening with Innovators

Soho House Stockholm, Stockholm, Sweden
In person

The climate crisis is accelerating. So are AI capabilities. What becomes possible when these two realities meet? An evening to explore how AI can help communities prepare for and adapt to a changing climate, bringing together climate experts, technologists, innovators and organizations working on the frontlines of climate change. Through powerful climate storytelling, leading research and practical examples from around the world, we will look at where AI can make a real difference, from understanding risks earlier to helping communities protect lives, livelihoods and ecosystems. The stage program will bring together perspectives from climate science, AI research and innovators applying technology in practice. You will also have the opportunity to meet seven international organizations developing AI solutions for communities already facing the effects of climate change. Expect to be surprised by what AI is already making possible, and to leave more hopeful about what comes next. You’ll hear from Alexandre Antonelli — Executive Director of Science at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Dr. Heïdi Sevestre — Glaciologist, polar explorer and climate communicator Victor Galaz — Associate Professor of Political Science, Stockholm Resilience Centre and Stockholm University Olof Mogren, PhD — Co-Founder, Climate AI Nordics, and Research Director, Deep Learning, RISE Dr. David Dao, Co-founder & Chief Scientist, GainForest Kenneth Kou, Head of Venture Lab, Prosper Global Ventures Anna Lerner-Nesbitt — Founder and CEO, Climate Collective Salah Said — Director of Sustainability, Klarna More speakers and participating organizations will be announced.
