AI Socratic Madrid is a monthly gathering for AI practitioners, researchers, founders, educators, and builders in the Madrid AI scene.
We run Socratic dialogues on the last AI topics: new models and tools, research papers, AGI alignment, philosophy, geopolitics, and more.

We believe the best conversations happen when diverse perspectives are in the room. Whether you come from engineering, research, product, policy, or education, if you think seriously about AI, you belong here.
To keep discussions meaningful, every application is reviewed. We look for curiosity, depth of thought, and a genuine willingness to contribute, not a specific job title or background.
The event runs in English 🇬🇧, unless everyone in the room speaks Spanish 🇪🇸.

Socratic Conversations
We open with networking, time to meet the people in the room before the conversation starts.
The main session is structured around the latest AI Socratic monthly post, with room for the threads and topics that matter most to attendees.

Everyone is encouraged to contribute. Jorge Ordovás and Alfonso de la Rocha moderate to keep things flowing and make sure every voice gets heard.

AI Socratic is built on the premise that better ideas come from more perspectives. This Code of Conduct exists to make that real, not aspirational.
Who this is for:
Everyone: attendees, speakers, organisers, and guests. No exceptions.
What we expect:
Be curious, not combative. Challenge ideas, not people. The Socratic method works because it assumes good faith on all sides.
Make room. If you tend to speak a lot, listen more. If you see someone being talked over, say something.
Respect identities and expertise. Don't make assumptions about what someone knows (or doesn't) based on how they look, their accent, or their background
