LLM-enabled formal software verification

Toronto, ON, Toronto, Canada
In person

On October 22, Anthopic and Theorem published LLMs are making formal software verification feasible at a much larger scale. This represents the first large-scale effort to use AI to apply formal verification to production software at the assembly code level. Giles Edkins, software engineer at Epoch AI, will talk about what this result mean, and what it implies about software that we rely on today. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the talk starts at 6:45 PM. Come early to grab a seat and say hi! Because of building security, someone from our team has to let each guest in, and once the talk begins we often can’t be at the door. If you’re running late, text 416-998-7465 and we’ll do our best to come down, but we can’t promise entry after 6:45 PM.

AI Game Developers Meetup #2

Toronto, ON, Toronto, Canada
In person

This is a meetup for AI game devs who are actively using AI tools and agentic workflows to build video games. It will be a cross between a meetup and a demo event (food and drink will be provided). The event can provide a stage to present your game, share your experiences building agents for game dev/design, or share the role(s) agents play in what you're building. If you're looking to advance the game development and design abilities of agents beyond what's currently on the market, this will be a place to learn a new tool, connect with others who have similar skills, and possibly create new opportunities. You should come if you're... Terminally online on Reddit, GitHub, and Discord, learning what the newest discovered AI game-dev workflow is this week. Making games (or at least prototypes) with agents doing real work in the loop. Terms like MCP, agent harness, skills, subagents, worktrees, context windows, compaction, tool calls, evals, and Opus 5.5 sound like normal conversation. This event is not for those... Not building or coding game projects with creative AI tools. Interested in business networking. Give us a quick description of your game or project and a list of what tools you're using when you register! Who's hosting this? We’re Robert, Maeesha, and Peter, the co-founders of Chatforce. We’ve been working with AI agent technology since early 2024, and we’ve hosted events like this before. You can find those on the Futurework calendar. We’re hosting this meetup because we’d love to meet other people building games with AI, compare what’s working, and have the kinds of conversations that are better in person. We're excited to meet you!
