Nascheiding Restafval refers to the post-separation process/line used in the Netherlands to remove plastic and metal packaging and drink cartons from household residual (rest) waste for recycling. Other streams such as food/garden waste (GFT), textiles and paper/cardboard are not recovered by nascheiding and must be collected separately.
