Empire State Development

Empire State Development (ESD) is the chief economic development agency of the New York State government. It works to promote a vigorous and growing state economy, encourage business investment and job creation, and support local economies through loans, grants, tax credits, and other forms of financial assistance. ESD oversees major initiatives including NY Ventures, the Life Science Initiative, and the New York State Business Incubator and Innovation Hot Spot Program.
