Goverment representative for startups for Czech republic

The Czech government's startup body. Led by Martin Jiránek, Government Commissioner for Startups under the Ministry of Industry and Trade — appointed by First Vice-Premier and Minister of Industry and Trade Karel Havlíček, effective 1 February 2026. Previously chair of the Czech Startup Association and vice-chair of the Chamber of Deputies' Economic Committee. Remit: startup legislation (the Startup Act), employee stock option (ESOP) reform, investment incentives, regional innovation centres, and implementing the European Startup Nations Standard via ESNA. Also runs CzechStartups.gov.cz, the official portal of the Czech startup scene — support programmes, provider directory, event calendar and ecosystem news — in partnership with IBM Czech Republic, Czech ICT Alliance, AMSP ČR and Rockaway Capital.
