Has a constant drive to bring unique business models to the next level. Developed several businesses since 1998, including the creation of the largest B2B platform for the water industry in China.

An engineering background in designing and managing water infrastructure, with experience at two water-focused venture capital firms prior to joining PureTerra.

Holds degrees in both Philosophy and Law. Worked in the Governance and Private Asset teams at Schroders plc and the Fundraising team at Founders Pledge.

Elected Best Dutch Entrepreneur in 2014, he successfully scaled his company to an IPO and is passionate about mentoring fellow entrepreneurs.

More than 8 years of experience in investing in purposeful early stage technologies, ranging from the energy transition, circular economy to now water.

Spent 12 years KPMG before joining as a partner to Nic and Gijs’ businesses in the role of CFO and board member. Expertise in developing business and investment strategies and legal, tax and financial structure.

Previously worked at two impact VCs. Holds degrees in Global Business & Sustainability and Earth Sciences, Economics & Sustainability.
