Switzerland’s Series B startups show a 53% single-round share, outpacing Israel’s 50%
- 53% of Swiss Series B startups raised only once
- 49.5% of Israeli Series B startups raised only once
- Swiss startups show a 3.5 point higher single-round share than Israeli peers
Across the 1,852 startups Brouky tracks in Israel and Switzerland whose first tracked round was at least two years ago, 53.4% of Swiss startups raised exactly one Series B round and did not raise again, compared to 49.5% in Israel. This indicates a notably higher single-round share in Switzerland within this cohort, though this may partly reflect expanding data coverage.
This measure excludes startups younger than two years to allow sufficient time for follow-on rounds. The data reflects a "did not raise again" rate rather than a death rate, and a second round not captured would inflate these figures. Despite this, the cross-country comparison remains meaningful.
Switzerland’s single-round share at Series B surpasses Israel’s by 3.9 percentage points, suggesting Swiss startups more frequently conclude their tracked funding at this stage. This contrasts with the seed stage single-round shares, which are 55.2% for Switzerland and 48.8% for Israel, showing a similar pattern of higher single-round shares in Switzerland.
