This 40% increase marks a notable shift in capital intensity at this stage within the tracked deals. The number of Series A deals also increased slightly from 25 to 30, indicating moderate growth in deal activity alongside larger round sizes, though this may partly reflect expanding data coverage.

Seed rounds also saw a substantial jump in median size, growing from 2.7 million euros in 2024 to 4.4 million euros in 2025, a 62% increase. This indicates that earlier-stage startups are attracting significantly more capital as well. The seed deal count expanded from 34 to 43 deals over the same period, showing a broader base of investment in nascent ventures.
