Glass Clouds Ensemble presents "Wreathed in Blossom," a concert of chamber music for soprano + string quartet on themes of nature and environment. Free event with optional donation.
Featuring a world premiere by composer Iván Rodríguez, in collaboration with poets from the NYC Climate Writers Collective, a flagship program of the Climate Imaginarium on Governors Island 🌱
Other music on the program by Caroline Shaw, Kaija Saariaho, Alberto Ginastera, Philip Glass, and Ludwig van Beethoven 🎻

Venue
The Glass Clouds Ensemble House (Building 14, Nolan Park) is a beautiful community arts space with cozy seating, art & sound installations, and air conditioning.
Governors Island is a short ferry from Manhattan and Brooklyn – ferry schedule & more info. It's a great place to spend a weekend day, rain or shine, with lots of art exhibits, bike paths, and food trucks!

Glass Clouds Ensemble is an Organization in Residence with Governors Island Arts and is hosting free music programming on weekends all summer long.
The NYC Climate Writers Collective is a flagship program of the Climate Imaginarium, which is a center for climate, community, and culture in New York City. Located on Governors Island, the Climate Imaginarium is activating a cultural destination at the heart of New York City’s burgeoning green economy, where artists, scientists, advocates, and storytellers come together to reimagine and build toward a more resilient future.
