Women in Tech New York City - OutGeekWomen

OCT22
18:00 · America / New York
  • This event brings together mid- and senior-level women professionals in technology for networking, speed interviews, and short pitches from CTOs and hiring teams.
  • It is designed for software engineers, data scientists, project managers, and UI/UX designers seeking career connections and insights.
  • Attendees can engage with leading tech brand representatives and explore local tech opportunities in New York City.

About this event

We are happy to extend an invitation to our event, offering a chance to network with accomplished, mid- and senior level women pros across diverse IT domains, rub shoulders with CTOs, connect with talented dev teams, and mingle with the brilliant minds behind your favorite tech brands. This event is a match made in heaven for software engineers, data scientists, PMs and project managers, and UI/UX designers who want to stay ahead of the game in the fast-paced world of tech. While this event is centered around women in tech, we extend a warm invitation to everyone to join us.

On the company side, we have CTOs who can write code blindfolded, VP of Engineering who have a black belt in project management, and talent acquisition leaders who have recruited more people than McDonald's has served hamburgers. And on the attendee side, we have techies who know how to turn caffeine into code and can make an app out of thin air. This event is not just about networking, it's about connecting with fellow mid-/senior tech pros in the industry, sharing a laugh or two, and maybe even finding your next career move. So come join us for a unique networking event where job seekers take the driver's seat!
We will: listen to short and sweet pitches by CTOs and hiring teams and vote best pitch (who said that corporate evaluation can't be fun?), talk all things tech, network and run speed interviews, meet faces behind our fav tech brands, and see what our local tech has to offer this season.

Claude Code Workshop with Tenex - NYC

New York, NY, New York City, United States
In person

Learn to orchestrate AI agents that write and ship code for you. Claude Code is already changing how the best engineering teams ship. This workshop, presented with Tenex, is a chance to build with it directly — not watch a demo, not sit through slides about it. You'll leave having shipped something real, with a working sense of how to bring this back to your own team. We'll spend a little time on context — how Claude Code fits into modern engineering workflows and where teams are seeing the biggest wins. Then the slides go away, and you're at a build station with Anthropic and Tenex beside you, orchestrating agents that write and ship code while you direct the work. Why attend Ship real output. Your agents write the code — you direct them. You'll leave with something you actually built, not a slide deck about what's possible. See best practices in action. Learn how Claude Code fits into enterprise workflows, from the people who deploy it at scale. Get direct support. Live help at every table from Anthropic engineers and Tenex partners — no one gets stuck on an error alone. Build your network. Spend the afternoon with technical leaders wrestling with the same questions you are. Who should attend Engineering Leaders — EMs, VPs, CTOs, Platform Leads, Principal Engineers Business Leaders — CPOs, Digital Transformation, senior AI sponsors, PMs You don't need to be an engineer. If you're making decisions about AI investment or setting strategy, understanding what Claude Code actually does is the edge. Prototyping in Public: Where Art and Science Get Tested on the Gallery Floor

The National Arts Club, New York City, United States · Startup Grind NYC
In person

What if a museum ran like a lab, with the experiment still in progress? Ann Neumann is Director of Galleries and Exhibitions at the MIT Museum. Her question for the evening: can a museum serve as infrastructure for public experimentation, a place where visitors take part in the work rather than just walk through it? If you build products, run pilots, or spend your days deciding what's ready to put in front of real people, this is a look at how one of the best-known science museums handles prototyping in public. In collaboration with the National Arts Club and its Art and Technology Committee, Ann will walk through the interactive projects she's shepherded at the MIT Museum. Each one works as a prototype for engaging the public with technologies like CRISPR, machine learning, and sensory neuroscience. Reserve your spot and arrive early. Space is limited. Founded in 1898, the National Arts Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to stimulate, foster, and promote public interest in the arts and to educate the American people in the fine arts. Annually, the Club offers more than 150 free programs—both in-person and virtually—to the public, including exhibitions, theatrical and musical performances, lectures, and readings, attracting an audience of over 30,000 in-person visitors and thousands more online.
