The Founder's Financial Edit

About this event

The Founder’s Financial Edit is a working session for entrepreneurial women who are ready to stop managing their financial lives in pieces and begin seeing them as one connected system.
Together with Leah Wyatt, founder of iLevitate Solutions we’ll explore the foundations of personal capital: the money, resources, obligations, choices, and financial power you are already responsible for directing. The goal isn't to change who you are or prescribe one definition of financial success. It is to strengthen the language and fluency you use to understand what you have, what you carry, what you want, and how you make decisions about it.
Leah spent twenty years building financial strategy for institutions managing hundreds of millions of dollars. She later applied that same discipline to her own financial life, eliminating more than $200,000 of personal debt in twenty-four months.
In this session, she brings those two worlds together.
We’ll move from financial fragmentation toward a practical, values-aligned approach to personal capital one that recognizes the founder not simply as someone paying bills, managing debt, or earning income, but as someone allocating resources, making tradeoffs, managing risk, and building wealth.
You’ll leave with a clearer language for your financial life, a more connected view of your personal capital, and a framework for making decisions with greater intention.

The Founder's Clinic

American Underground, Durham, United States
In person

The Founder's Clinic is a live, in-person experience designed to give founders real help on real problems. Think of it as urgent care for your startup. When you arrive you will check in and fill out a simple intake form. What is going on? How long has it been bothering you? How urgent does it feel? What would make this visit worthwhile? Based on your responses, our team will triage your situation and connect you with the right support. You will begin with a “primary care” coach, skilled at helping founders unpack a challenge, surface root causes, and clarify what is actually happening beneath the surface. Then, you’ll meet with a subject matter “specialist” for a “second opinion” focused on your specific needs, whether that is product, sales, branding, finance, operations, legal, or more. You'll receive high-impact, thoughtful support from experienced members of our startup community who want to improve the health of you and your startup. So bring the real problem, that messy tangled one. Our goal is that you walk away with clarity on your challenge, and ideally a prescription for next steps you can take action on right away. Whatever issue has been keeping you up at night googling symptoms and treatments, come get it checked out at the Founder’s Clinic! Bad Idea Pitch Competition - Climate Week Edition

American Underground, Durham, United States
In person

The world has problems. We have bad ideas. An evening of amazing pitches for absolutely terrible ideas to save the world. Climate change is a massive, complicated problem that will require serious innovation, collaboration, policy, investment, and action. This is not that. For RDSCo Climate Week, we’re bringing back the Bad Idea Pitch Competition and challenging teams to tackle real problems facing our planet in the most questionable ways possible. Each team will pitch live to a panel of Celebrity Judges, who will ask questions, poke holes, and ultimately cast their votes. The audience gets a vote, too, to help crown the Best Worst Idea to Save the World. Expect big swings, bad science, unnecessary apps, suspicious sustainability claims, and at least one solution that probably involves putting solar panels somewhere they absolutely do not belong. Come for the creativity, stay for the community (and a laugh!), and join us for a night of bad pitches, climate bingo, and plenty of chances to dream up a few terrible ideas of your own. The world has enough good ideas. For one night, we want your worst. Interested in forming a pitch team and being a part of the show? Please fill out our very serious application to pitch here: https://airtable.com/appwJTZLBy955Kvik/pagy2KLsI5VQeISdR/form Thank you to our Sponsors and Partners!
