This is a Dubai meetup group focused on AI/business (with Shanghai AI and Mumbai AI chapters). We meet every Saturday at 7:30pm at DIFC, sign up is not required. Usually there are up to 30 people from different backgrounds, such as AI programmers, rocket engineers, physicists, marketing, designers, investors... But it's also meant for people who have no background in AI and are looking for more insight. About Michael Clark Michael Clark builds and scales products. Over two decades, he's led product, digital and AI capability across global firms such as Mastercard and J.P. Morgan, taking ideas from strategy through to delivery, commercialisation and enterprise scale, including multi-million-dollar products for FTSE 500 companies and globally recognised startups, and also designed the future of money for NEOM. He currently mentors in the Dubai proptech hub, sits on the Dubai DIFC AI regulation 10 committee, and advises businesses and governments globally on product development, AI and data. From product-market fit to investment readiness We’ll close the workshop by placing the learning in the UAE founder context: what evidence founders need to commercialise, become investment-ready and access the right ecosystem and infrastructure support. We’ll also hear a brief practical perspective from Miraj Hossain, award-winning founder building the UAE’s first COAD-certified AI-native venture studio, DiamondAI, followed by audience Q&A on moving from a promising product towards a scalable business. This session opens with a panel discussion bringing together industry leaders to unpack what it takes to raise capital today, the strategies that work, the tools founders need and the common mistakes that stall a raise. The panel is followed by pitch day, where 10 sector agnostic start-ups take the stage to present their solutions to a panel of investors and receive live feedback in real time. Founders will leave with a clearer view of what investors look for, how to structure a compelling pitch and how to avoid the missteps that most often cost a deal.
